Ok! I'm finally back with a oneshot for you guys! I have exams next week, so wish me luck! The idea was from Alice (The_Princess_Fangirl) She's amazing! Check out her stories and follow her! I also took some things from calypsowriting's Fake Dating Fanfic.
P.S: Aruden is not canon in this, and the Aruden moments didn't happen. But yet...
Aiden POV
Aiden was walking home from school with Aru, and they were chatting about the school day when his phone pinged. He interrupted her and pulled out his phone. She understood and quieted.
When he opened his messages app, it turned out to be his dad.
Dad: Hello, son. I am coming back to Atlanta for a case. Would you like to join me for lunch? You may bring one more person(preferably your girlfriend).
He knew that when his dad asked him something, it wasn't a question. It was an order. So, he texted his father back, deciding to tell the truth and say that he didn't have a girlfriend. He typed the text, but neverminded that. Maybe if someone was there, she would support him. And maybe, just maybe, if he asked Aru to be his fake girlfriend, it could grow into actual dating. He thought excitedly. But no! Aru doesn't like me back. Whatever, I'll just ask her now.
"Hey Aru," he started.
"Yeah?"
"Umm, so the thing is, my dad is coming back, and, uh, I can only bring 1 extra person, and, u-uh, it n-n-n-needs to be my girlfriend, even if you're not, so... will you come with me and be my fake girlfriend?" he stuttered nervously.
"Sure! Anything for you... because you're my friend!" she ended nervously.
He smiled and texted my dad, grateful for Aru's support.
Aiden_Acharya: I'll come. I'm bringing my girlfriend Aru.
He smiled, thinking how amazing it was to call Aru his girlfriend, even if it was all a lie.
At the lunch
Aru's POV
She sat, her fingers intertwined with Aiden's to make the act believable. He suddenly tensed, and his grip on Aru grew agonizingly tight. "What's wrong?" she whispered.
"He's here!" Aiden responded nervously.
Aiden's dad sat down across from us and frowned after looking at Aru. He started talking to Aiden, but Aru drownded (If you get it, you get a mushroom and a cookie) out the conversation.
After Aiden's dad left, Aru and Aiden payed the bill and started walking home, still subconsciously holding hands. Suddenly, Aiden stopped and swung around to face Aru.
"Aru, look, I just need to get this off my chest. I really like you and I know you don't like me, and with this 'fake dating' thing, I, uh, really feel that we should be a thing." he said.
Aru's eyes widened. He liked her too? And HE was the one who admitted it first?
She smiled and said, "Aiden, I like you too. And I agree, we should be a thing!"
Aiden's whole face brightened and he pulled her closer. Lightning flashed and rain started falling. Their lips had no space between them anymore. They pulled apart, and they began waltzing with each other.
They couldn't help falling for each other all over again.
