A/n: Tony's always seemed like the playboy type, but really, under all of those music and movie quotes, he's sweet and caring and super overprotective. Ever since his daughter's mom(Caitlin) died during an investigation a year ago. Sometimes Y/n will get annoyed about him being so overprotective, but he's just trying to do what's best for her. Even though her mom's death was hard for everyone, it definitely hit Y/n the hardest, the whole team could tell. Y/n has brown hair and Caitlin's brown eyes.

Y/n's POV
As I walked into the office, I saw dad talking to someone, so I decided to go down to Abby's lab. As I walked in I heard the familiar sound of punk.rock music playing.
"Hey Abs," I said.
"Hey Ave, I'm really glad you came down because they have this new caf-pow flavor and I think you'll really like it." she said handing me her drink.
Just for the record Abby is the only one allowed to call me by a nickname from my middle name, NO ONE ELSE!!!
"Okay, that is really good," I said after taking a sip.
"I know right," she said taking the cup out of my hands.
"Anyway, do you know who dad was talking to upstairs," I asked.
"Some new chick, I don't remember her name," she replied.
"Jeanne Benoit," I heard Gibbs say from behind me.
"How do you know that," I asked.
"Probably because he's Gibbs," Abby said.
"That's a pretty fair answer," I replied.
"You guy's you will not believe what I just saw," McGee said rushing in.
"WHAT!!!" Abby and I said ready for the drama.
"I just saw Tony kissing some doctor lady," He said.
"You guy's really need to work on your names," Gibbs said.
"You saw them just now," Abby said ignoring Gibbs.
"Yeah," McGee replied.
"Oh," I said, "I have to go, make sure to bring me some of that new Caf-Cow.
"Will do," I heard Abs say as I left.
As I was walking, I ran into Jimmy.
"Oh hey Jimmy," I said.
"Hey, Y/n. Are you okay, you look unhappy," he said.
"What would you do if someone you knew was already moving on, but you weren't ready to move on yet," I asked him.
"I don't really know. I guess I would 1st go ask Ducky, and then I think you should go tell this person how you feel," he replied.
"I guess I'll go ask Ducky. Is he in the morg?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'll see you around Y/n," Jimmy said walking off.
"Bye," I replied.
Down in the morg
"Hi Y/n," Ducky said.
"Hey Ducky," I replied.
"What happened this time," he asked.
"Oh nothing," I said.
"If it was nothing, you wouldn't be down here," he said.
"It's just that, someone I know is moving on fast than me and it just doesn't feel right," I said.
"Well from my experience you should go talk to that person, other why's if you keep those feelings bundled up you might explode at them," Ducky said.
"But what if I can't tell them because I'm scared that they'll be mad," I said.
"A wise man once told me that 'If we don't tell people how we feel, then how will they now'. I think you should talk to Gibbs, out of everyone he definitely knows how it feels," Ducky said.
As I was walking I saw dad and Jeanne talking and laughing. I felt tears brim in my eyes. I mean I get that it's been a year since mom and that dad can make his own choices, but it just doesn't feel right. I finally saw Gibbs at his desk looking in a folder.
"Hey Gibbs can I ask you something," I asked.
"You just did," he replied, but when I didn't answer he looked up, "Let's go to the elevator."
We walked to the elevator and got in and Gibbs turned it off.
"What's wrong kid," he asked.
"Is it stupid that I'm not ready to get over mom's death yet?" I asked as tears spilled out of my eyes.
"Of course not, in all fairness it should take longer for you than the rest of us because she raised you," Gibbs said.
"I mean, it's just that dad's already kissing someone else and it just feels like he's trying to replace mom, but I don't want to say anything because I'm scared that he'll get mad or upset." I said.
"Come here," Gibbs said as he hugged me, "I promise you that Tony isn't trying to replace Caitlin, he's just starting a new chapter in his life, and I'm sure that if you talk to him he'll understand. He's your father it's his job to make sure you're okay. Now you wait here and I'll be right back."
Gibbs started the Elevator again and left.
Tony's POV
I was talking to Jeanne when Gibbs yelled my name.
DINOZZO!! GET YOUR *SS OVER HERE!! NOW!!," he yelled.
"Duty calls. I'll talk to you later," I said to Jeanne before walking over to Gibbs, "What's up boss?"
"What's up is that you've been too busy flirting with Jeanne that you didn't realize that you were upsetting your daughter," he said.
"Well why didn't Y/n tell me," I asked.
Gibbs slapped the back of my head.
"OWWW!!! What was that for?" I whined.
"For being stupid," Gibbs replied, "Y/n didn't tell you because she was scared that you would get mad at her."
"Now that's stupid." I said.
Gibbs slapped me again.
"WILL YOU STOP SLAPPING ME!!!"
"Go talk to her," he said.
"Where is she?" I asked.
"In the elevator," Gibbs said.
I walked over to the elevator and got in. I walked in to see Y/n crying.
"Wow, wow, hey Jr. what's going on," I asked concerned.
She shook her head.
"Please. I promise I won't be mad," I said.
"It just feels like you're ready to move on and I'm not and that you're trying to replace mom with some chick I haven't even met yet," she said.
Those words broke my heart. She really thought that I would replace her mom.
"Y/n, I would never and I mean never try to replace your mom. I miss her too and there will always be a place in my heart for her. Just because I'm moving on doesn't mean that I'm forgetting," I said.
"Do you mean it," she asked.
"Yeah, I mean it," I said as I pulled her in for a hug.
