Pro Hero. Thoughts on New Year's morning.

　Even though I'm used to wearing shoes, I always retie the laces before going out. It may have some sort of ritualistic meaning to me. This is a magic spell that will help me run from here with all my might.

　When I open the front door, cold air rushes in, but I don't dislike the quiet, clear air that is typical of the beginning of the year. When I get down to the entrance hall, I start the clock's runtime and immediately rush out into the city. It's been a while since I ran outside like this on my day off.
　Of course, I do my daily muscle training without fail, but as a professional hero for a long time, it is easy for people to recognize my face.
　It would be fine if they just made a fuss, but they could keep coming, which is quite troublesome. In that case, I have no choice but to choose not to go out. Fortunately, the apartment complex I live in now has a gym for residents only, which is helpful.

　Besides, if I had a day off with Katsuki, I would often lock myself in my bedroom, so this morning, when there weren't many people around, I decided to go out for the first time in a while. Well, the person in question was still asleep after being crushed in my arms.
　By the way, there are no bite marks or hickeys. If I had them on, they would come out of my costume, and unlike the days in UA when I was so preoccupied with monopolistic desires that I was desperate to get rid of them, I don't think I need them now because I feel that my heart is connected to Katsuki.
　Instead, while waiting for the traffic light, I unconsciously touched my left ring finger. There is visible evidence of the bond between the two of us and our eternity.
　They are more expensive than most because they are made of materials that can withstand both our quirks, but it is nice to be able to keep them on and off at any time, even while working.
　I gently kissed the ring before the light turned green.

"I love you."

　I hope that this happy and loving feeling will also reach my lover, who is probably still sleeping soundly.
