Our Forbidden Love: Against The World

~ Chapter One ~

It's been a while since we last saw Lando & Madi. It's been 9 years actually. Lando & Madi are both 25 now. Now, you're probably asking what has happened in the last 9 years. Well... let's just cut the long story short. Lando got into F4 in 2025, skipped F3 because F2 desperately wanted him, went into F2, got into F1 the year after. He was only 19 when he got into F1 but he was definitely ready. Madi did online school and some actual school for 3 years and ended up getting a diploma in car engineering. She became Lando's race engineer after McLaren offered her a job alongside him. Then... at 23 they had their first child. Leo Norris. Born 6th August 2031. Sadly produced on Lando's 23rd birthday with a lot of alcohol and a lack of birth control. They thought it was going to be the end of the world becoming parents at 23 but they wouldn't change it for the world. Now it's 2033 and Lando is about to start his 7th season in formula one in about 2 weeks.

"You alright, baby? Was Leo a little shit or was he okay?" Madi says. Lando had been at McLaren Technology Centre for the day and Madi was at home working on a few strategies. She wasn't technically the strategist but she liked to work on some for her and Lando to do if the strategy that day turns out to be shit. "He was actually pretty good. What's going on in your universe? Anything exciting" Lando says as he locks the door. Lando & Madi bought an apartment near Woking when Lando first joined McLaren academy and they have been living there since. It works for them. "I'm working on more ways to help you win races. You've won 2 races in the time you've been in F1 and you're about to go into your 7th season. You deserve a chance to win, baby. And I don't care if I'm not a strategist. Our strategist is shit. I know I can help you win a race" she says. He slightly laughs at her comment and sits down next to her while taking off Leo's shoes. "Yeah, you can help me win a race but you work too hard. It's a team effort, baby. You have to remember that. Don't overdo it" he says. "I just wanna do everything I can to get you more wins. It kills me every time I see you come 2nd and Max comes 1st because I know how hard you work to get 1st but he just takes it away from you. It's obvious that Red Bull's gone over budget when developing the car but no one does anything about it. I want Leo to see that his daddy can actually win races" she says while resting her head on his shoulder. "Baby, you know I love you for that. And trust me, I'm doing everything I can to make sure we have a winning car. As for Leo, he's already seen me win races. He knows I can do it." he says. But he deserves to win more. "Yeah, he saw those wins when he was literally a baby. He's nearly 2 years old now, Lan" she says while looking at Leo. Leo has grown up quite fast. He started walking quite quickly but he's still starting to talk. He doesn't say much but they recon it's because he's such a shy kid. They know that once he starts talking he won't stop.

"Alright, alright, I get it. But you know I'm working hard, babe. And we're working as a team, and a team effort is what it takes to win races. In the end, this is just a game, right?" He says while trying to make her feel better. "Sometimes I think my life is a game. a game where I suffer for picking the wrong answer. I still wonder what would have happened if I still spoke to my parents. I hardly even speak to Mason anymore and he's my twin brother." she says. Madi hasn't spoken to Mason in years. He moved to Manchester after signing with Man United a couple years back and she hasn't seen him since. Everytime he was back in London, she was at a race with Lando. "Sweetheart, life is full of choices and paths we take. You're not alone in wondering about what could have been. But remember, you chose me, and I chose you. We're building our own future together, one race at a time" he says before kissing her head. He knew how to make her feel better. "I knew 15 year old me was right to say yes to you asking me to be your girlfriend. It's been nearly 10 years that we've been together" she says. "Nearly ten years and it still feels like 10 seconds. But I wouldn't change a thing. I'm so lucky to have you, you know that?" he says with a smile. She nods. She knows how lucky she is to have him.

He kisses her for a second before feeling Leo squeeze in between them. "I guess little man doesn't want us to kiss around him" she says with a small eye roll. "Yeah, I think our little guy is getting a little jealous of all this love-sharing" he says with a small laugh. Madi moves her laptop from her lap and replaces the laptop with Leo. "Mummy & Daddy were only showing how much we love each other. You wouldn't be here without us" she says. Lando holds her hand and strokes Leo's head with the other. Madi never imagined Lando being a dad but he proved to be the best one ever. He loves Leo with his whole heart. "He looks so much like you" she adds. She's telling the truth. Leo does look exactly like Lando. Literally a clone of Lando. "He does, doesn't he? It's incredible how much we see of both of us in him" Lando replies. "I hardly see any of myself inside of him. It's all you in him. He's got your ocean eyes and brunette curls. Only thing he might have is my nose and my stubbornness" she says with a small laugh as she looks at their son. Lando gently nudges her side and smiles "Now, now... I think you're selling yourself short. There's plenty of you in him too. Like his cute little toes and fingers". Madi giggles slightly before feeling Leo slowly snuggle into her. "aww is our little boy a bit tired. I don't blame you, Leo. you've been busy with daddy at MTC" she says while wrapping her arms around Leo. Lando slowly starts to cuddle into Madi and she laughs slightly. "So I'm gonna have both of my boys falling asleep on me?" she laughs. "I think that's quite a lovely sight, don't you? Besides, it gives me an excuse to cuddle with you too" he says. He looks up and softly kisses her. "I love you so much, Lan. Remember, it's our forbidden love forever and always against the world" she says. "Yes, love. And it's a love that only makes us stronger together. Let's make the most of it while we can. I love you too" he says. They all fall asleep together. Both of Madi's boys cuddled up to her. Her life can't get any better.
