~ Chapter Six ~

They made their way back to the hotel. Lando is sat on the sofa with Leo sleeping on him and Madi is in the bathroom. Madi smiles as she hears Lando with Leo and then looks in the mirror at herself and immediately feels insecure. She has always had a problem with her wanting to be skinny and she kept that going throughout being a teen and a young adult but after she had Leo, her body never returned to how it was and that was constantly killing her. She feels a few tears fall from her eyes as she tries to stop herself having a breakdown. Eventually, she calms herself down and gets changed and walks to the sofa where Lando & Leo are while trying to hide her bloodshot eyes. Lando looks up at Madi, his eyes filled with love and concern.

"Baby, what's wrong? Did I do something? You look like you've been crying" He says as he gently brushes a stray hair from her face, his touch warm and comforting. "I'm fine, Lan.. it's nothing..." she says while thinking that he will think it's stupid. Lando knew exactly what she was crying about. "Baby, is this about your weight again?" he says gently. Madi's eyes immediately fill with tears and she looks at Lando "I'm fucking hideous" she says. "Baby, look at me. I don't think you're hideous at all" he says while trying to comfort her. "I am though... I used to be perfect and skinny and everything and now I've had this extra weight and skin from Leo and it's never gone away and I'm so fucking ugly and disgusting now" she says. "You are not ugly or disgusting, baby girl. You are perfect just the way you are" he replies while trying to convince her that she is beautiful. "I'm not, Lan. I'm fucking vile. sometimes I wonder why you haven't dumped me for a more beautiful girl..." she says. Lando's heart couldn't help but break at her words. "Madi, you are the most beautiful woman in the world to me" he says. "I'm not though. I'm like the ugliest woman in the world" she says. He holds her face with one of his hands and rubs her cheek with his thumb. "Madi, you are so beautiful to me, both inside and out" he says. "I'm not. im ugly as fuck. look at me. I'm fucking hideous" she says as she lifts her shirt to show him the extra skin and weight. "Madi, stop. Please don't talk about yourself like this. I don't care about your weight or the scars from giving birth. You are the most beautiful woman in the world to me" he says but she just won't believe him. "Why are you lying? I'm literally hideous and disgusting. just admit that I'm ugly" she says as she doesn't change her mind. "Madi, I could never lie about how beautiful you are. You're my world, and nothing will ever change that." he says while holding her close. "Madi, look at me. Look into my eyes and listen to my heart. I could never love someone who was ugly" he says. A few more tears fall from her eyes and that's when Lando moves Leo so he's sleeping on the end of the sofa and he kisses her stomach where her extra skin is. "what are you doing...?" she asks. "I'm showing you how beautiful you are. Mads, you're perfect, both inside and out" he says. He moves his hands along her stretch marks and speaks "you know what I see these as? I see them as a sign of how brave you were when you gave birth to Leo. It shows that your body carried a human inside it for 9 months. That's something that some people are way too scared to ever do" he says and Madi smiles before feeling his lips on hers. His kisses can make her feel better within a second. Soon she feels Leo's hand reach for hers which is something he only does when he's having a nightmare so she picks him up for a cuddle. "It's ok, baby boy. I've got you.. Mummy's got you..." she says while holding their child close. "It's reassuring to know that you're such a caring and nurturing mother, love" Lando says. "I swear I've changed so much since having him... it's like becoming a mother changes you into a different person" Madi says. She was telling the truth. She has changed so much since having Leo. "Well, I think you've become even more beautiful and loving. And seeing you with Leo only confirms that" he says while kissing Leo's head gently. "He's so lucky to have you as his daddy" she says. "And he's so lucky to have you as his mummy" he replies.
