~ Chapter Ten ~

The second he gets out of the car he runs past the interviewers and straight to Madi and he kisses her stomach all over. She giggles slightly as he picks her up and spins her around while she still has Leo in her arms "I'm guessing that you're happy that I'm pregnant" she says. "I couldn't be happier. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, Madi. And now, we get to share our love with these little ones" he says. Lando takes Leo from her arms and Leo giggles. "You're gonna be a big brother, Leo" she says which causes him to giggle even more and rest his head into Lando's neck. After the whole podium celebration they go to his driver room and Leo immediately falls asleep in her arms. "He's probably tired from having so much fun from seeing his amazing daddy on the top spot of the podium" she says. Lando sits next to her on the sofa and strokes Leo's head. "Yeah, I bet he is. But you know what? He's going to have even more fun growing up and watching me race. We're going to be a family that supports each other, Madi. And together, we're going to conquer the world of racing" Lando says. "indeed we are" she says before feeling Leo move his head and rests it on Madi's stomach "I think Leo can tell that his baby sister or brother is in there". "He reaches out to rest his hand on Madi's stomach as well "Yeah, I bet he can feel it And you know what, Madi? I can already feel it. Our family isn't just growing, it's thriving". Lando spots the test poking out of her pocket so he reaches for it and looks at it. When he looks he immediately feels tears falling down his face as it sets inside him that he's actually going to be a dad to another little kid. "It's... it's beautiful. I can't believe it. We're going to have another baby" he says. "We are indeed, baby. Hopefully this one will look a bit more like me!! Leo is definitely a daddy's boy and I'm hoping that whoever is in there is a mummy's boy or girl" she says with a laugh. "you better get ready for the emotional me that you were constantly complaining about when I was pregnant with Leo for the next 9 months" she says as Lando rests his head on her stomach next to Leo's head. "Don't worry, I'm ready for anything. And trust me, I'll be just as excited and emotional as you are. Besides, you know I love your emotional side" he says. Bullshit. "I literally locked you outside our apartment once because you forgot to put marshmallows on my hot chocolate last time I was pregnant. I will probably be even worse this time" she says. She actually was that bad. She locked him out of the apartment multiple times and even threatened to kill him when she was pregnant with Leo. Lando even thought about putting her in a mental hospital during that pregnancy.

A party is being held for Lando's win so Lando's parents are looking after Leo and Madi is currently getting ready but can't help but feel shit about herself. Madi puts on her dress but has multiple bad thoughts about it as she hasn't felt herself in a dress in ages due to her not having a flat stomach anymore. She knows she can't suck it in because she doesn't want to hurt the baby so she just stands in front of the mirror and questions everything. Lando immediately knows what she's thinking about and wraps his arms around her waist as they look in the mirror. "Hey, come on now. You look absolutely stunning. Leo is the luckiest little boy in the world to have such a beautiful mummy" he says. "I'm not though... I'm fat and ugly" she says. "Stop right there, love. That's not true at all. You're glowing, and your baby bump is just proof of how amazing you are. You're carrying our child, and that makes you the most beautiful woman in the world to me" he says. "that's not even a bump. that's just what Leo left me with... I'm never gonna have a flat stomach ever again and it kills me all the time because that was my only confidence. I don't even want to wear a bikini anymore. I don't even want to wear a dress anymore because I just feel ugly, fat and I feel like I look like a rat" she says. Madi has always had issues with how she looks and it gets worse and worse each day. "Hey, hey, don't say that. It's not true. Your body has gone through so much already, and it's creating life. That's an amazing thing" he says. "People don't see it like that, Lan..." she says with tears in her eyes as the pregnancy hormones already start affecting her "I'm fat and I know it... I'm so fucking ugly. I honestly don't know why you don't just dump me for some fit girl" she says. "Sweetheart, stop right there. You're anything but fat or ugly. Your body is doing something incredible, and yes, it's changing shape, but that doesn't make you less beautiful" he says. Lando has always had a job trying to make Madi feel better about herself. "it does, Lan. it makes me look ugly as fuck. I look horrible. I look like a fucking alien" she says with tears now falling down her face. "Listen to me carefully. You are not an alien. You're not even close to being ugly. Your body is adapting, yes, but it's still you. And remember, I fell in love with you, not just your appearance" he says while still cuddling her. "you would be better off without me... you would be happier with some fit girl... I'm nothing anymore" she says. He holds her hands and turns her to look at him. "Madi, stop that right now. You are not nothing. Don't talk like that. We're in this together and always will be. You're the most amazing woman I've ever met, and you have my love" he says. He pulls her into his arms and she cries in them. "I promise you, these feelings will pass. You're going through a tough time, but we'll face it together. Just trust me when I say that your beauty shines brighter than any fit girl could ever compare. You're my queen, Madi, and always will be" he says. "I'm not... I'm so fucking ugly" she says. Madi is definitely not changing her mind. "Madi, please look at yourself in the mirror. I want you to really take a good look" he says as he turns her to look at the mirror. "Do you see what I see, my love?". "what? a fat and ugly pig?" she says. Lando lifts her chin up so she has to look in the mirror to look at him. "What are you doing?" She says. "I want you to see what I see when I look at you. You're not fat, Madi. You're strong, resilient, and beautiful. Your body has carried us through so much, and it's a testament to your inner strength" he says. He is determined to make her see herself in his eyes. "but I'm ugly... i always will be..." she says. "No, Madi, You're not. You're stunning, radiant, and my heart belongs to you. Just let yourself love yourself the way I love you" he says. "I can't... I can't see myself the way you do..." she says. "That's okay. Let me show you" He gently kisses her forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin before looking deeply into her eyes in the mirror. "See how beautiful you are?". "no... I'm so ugly". "Madi, sweetheart, you're not. You're unique, captivating, and irreplaceable" he says. "I am... I'm so fucking ugly" she says before feeling his hands move onto her stomach. "You aren't. You're carrying our second child and you've carried our first. 2 children. Some people can't bear to carry more than one. You're beautiful and incredible. You're an amazing mother to Leo and will be an amazing mother to our new baby. Please believe me when I say that you are literally the most beautiful woman ever and I would literally sacrifice my whole life for you and our babies. I never want to leave you for someone else. We've been together since we were 15 and now we're 25. We've been through so much together and I'm not ever giving that up" he says. "really..?" She says. "Yes, really. Now, come on, let's fix your makeup and head to that party" Lando smiles and grabs her makeup bag and looks confused while trying to figure out what is what.

"Don't laugh, I'm trying my best. I will figure it out soon. This is eyeliner, isn't it?" he says while holding up her mascara which makes her laugh slightly. "That's mascara, baby" she says. Lando rolls his eyes playfully and grabs a makeup wipe and dabs it until all the mascara tears have gone. "Same thing" he says as he gets her to look up and he reapplies her mascara.
