You grabbed your phone to see the message that came in. It was your ex girlfriend Taylor. You and Taylor had broke up because she got too busy and stressed. You didn't realize it yet, but you still had feelings for her.
The text said "Hi Y/N. I know that you are going to that event tomorrow and I am too. I know we broke up 2 weeks ago, but people don't know it yet. I need you to pretend that we are still together. Just for the day. I'll never ask for anything else."
"Oh my god" you muttered. This was going to be hell.

You arrived at the event and met up with Taylor at the entrance. "Hi" you said dryly. It felt like you were your eyes were burning holes in the grounds.
"You know you have to look at me right?" Taylor asked in an annoyed tone.
"I know" you hesitantly looked at her, "I like your dress"
"Thanks" she said with a little more emotion in her voice. "Well I guess we should hold hands"
"Ok" you said as your breath hitched.
Once you guys sat down at table, you asked "so what have you be doing up to?"
"Just re-recording an album, really" she replied.
"Oh. That's cool I guess" you said, fidgeting with your fingers under the table.
You and Taylor continued to catch up with each other, even though it was awkward. Then, Taylor won and award. You smiled as she walked up onto the stage. Wow. She was truly amazing, you thought to yourself. "Don't catch feelings" you whispered quietly as Taylor finished her speech and walked towards her seat next to you. "Congratulations!" you smiled.
"Thanks" Taylor could feel it too, but she wasn't ready to tell you just yet.

As you were about to leave the car and walk to your house, Taylor stopped you.
"Y/N! Wait" she called you back, "can I talk to you? It'll be quick"
"Sure" you said nervously, secretly hoping that she would confess as you walked back to her car.
