I don't know why we felt the need to run as we were far out already, and they just noticed we were gone, but something provoked us to leave as fast as possible. The conversation with Mizzen that I had earlier lingered in my mind as we ran farther into the woods. "Where close! I remember this area, my parents used to use this path to get to thirteen, take a right over here!" I yelled, pointing to one of the paths. They followed my lead as I took twists and turns around the path, trying to remember where exactly we went.

We ran until the alarm was no longer heard and began walking once again, Coral and Olivia taking the lead and asking me where to go. "Right or left miner boy?" Coral asked, pointed towards the two paths "take the left, if we go right were going in a circle" Coral followed my instructions and guided us to the left, were the woods got heavier and darker. "Be careful down here, there are mutts in this area, get out your weapons. Peacekeepers don't go down here, so it's the better path if you're escaping, but a lot more dangerous." I warned. Coral held her trident up, ready to fight while Mizzen and I grabbed out knives from the bag. Mizzen swung his net around threateningly, and I held my knife out, muttering the types of mutts that were in these woods.

We all walked in silence, afraid that if we made too much noise something would come out and attack us, and I was done with dead bodies. I never realized how frightening they are when you killed them yourself, it becomes a lot scarier to see the damage that you inflicted.

"What do you think they're going to do to our mentors? Their responsible for everything we do, so if we ran away would they throw them in the arena?" Coral asked. I was starting to think they thought I had all the answers "well, their definitely not going in the arena. I'd say Snow and Festus are doing peacekeeper training in our districts, and Persephone is most likely going to be expelled, her dad will pay for her to get out of peacekeeper but can't stop expulsion." Mizzen laughed upon hearing that, I couldn't stop my giggles thinking about Snow's already draining authority being stripped away in district twelve, the laughingstock of the districts. "Imagine Persephone begging for a job after all this went down, she'll be all like 'I promise I won't let the costumers escape as well' I would pay to see that!" Mizzen exclaimed. "And I'll bet that Snow will regret not trading with the Plinth boy! He'll be cursing my name in that district, hunting me down so he can finally finish the job, but I won't be there!" I almost fell over thinking about Snows face when he gets told to go to district twelve for the next how many years, probably until were dead. Coral fell back with us, laughing as well, throwing her arms around our shoulders. "I would imagine Festus is cursing giving that letter to the post office, probably also my existence. He didn't like me before, let's see how he likes me now!" She joked.

The three of us were laughing our asses off when I heard something and stopped. It was the sound of growling, and I knew we were being way to loud. I pulled my knife out and pulled Olivia back with the three of us, realizing she had also noticed the noise. "What's wrong?" Mizzen asked, curios to what was going on. "Get out your knife, our first visitor found us" the two understood what was going on, and we all circled up, looking for the mutt. Olivia pulled out a crossbow and offered it me "want to switch, I saw how good you are, and I don't know how to use this thing." I handed Olivia my knife and took the crossbow, loading it, and getting ready to fight. Out of nowhere, a mutt ran out towards Coral, and we sprang into action. Mizzen used his net to keep the mutt in the same place, and I hit it with an arrow, Coral stabbed it with her trident, and I used the knife Olivia was holding out for me to stab it in the heart, killing it. "Nice work songbird, couldn't have done better myself" Coral ruffled my hair and we made our way along the path, quiet this time as to not attract any attention.

An hour passed and I could tell my leg was starting to give out on me ever so slowly, but I had to push through the pain. We needed to get to district thirteen as soon as possible if we wanted to be free and safe, and I wasn't going to risk getting caught cause my leg was hurting. I pushed forward until I felt the blood start seeping down my leg that I spoke up "guys I need to sit down, my legs giving out." They all stopped and looked down at my leg, saw the blood stain appearing on my pants, and they all agreed.

"Mizzen, can you sit him over on that log, I think I might have to stitch up the wound." Olivia pulled a needle and string out of her bag while Mizzen helped me over to the long, where Coral had grabbed one of the sheets and I sat in Mizzens lap on the ground while Coral rolled up my pant leg, examining the wound. "Yea, you're going to need stitches, we'll do a basic stitch for now, when we get to thirteen, she'll clean them up when we have more supplies." Coral rushed over to help Olivia get everything she needed, and I started freaking out. Stitches? The last time I had stiches, it was extremely painful, and that was from doctors. I knew Olivia was a good person, but it was hard to trust someone you barley know to do stitches on your busted knee. "You ready?" Olivia asked, holding the needle my knee. I nodded, taking Mizzen's hand and closing my eyes. After the arena, the idea of anything sharp going into my skin was associated with death, hurt, and losing someone. To me, weapons became a poison that I would never be able to escape, and I hated that.

I cried out as the needle pierced through my knee, adding more pain to the mix. Olivia tried to work as quickly as possible, and while I was grateful she was trying to get the pain over with, I hoped she was paying attention to each stitch she created. "She's almost done, just hold in there a little longer" Mizzen held my hand tighter, and I felt certain comfort knowing someone was there with me as my knee was slowly brought back together. Olivia cut the string and wrapped my leg up before giving me the ok to open my eyes, and the first thing I saw was my leg, which looked horrible. I was all dusty and banged up from the arena, and I had scars and Bruises everywhere from all the stunts and fighting I had been doing. My arms weren't any better, and I was whiling to bet my face looked horrible as well from the incident with Coriolanus. I was about to stand up, but Mizzen pulled me back down on his lap "just rest for a little, where in no hurry." Mizzen said, and I relaxed into his arms, wiping my tears quickly as Coral and Olivia became visible again.

"I think we're going to call it a day," Olivia pointed at me, "you need to stay off your leg as much as possible, so no climbing trees or risking your life, relax today. I know that you haven't been able to since you guys were in that arena, so let me take care of all three of you. I'm a medical student, this is my job. So, no action for the rest of the day, got it?" Olivia stared down at the three of us threateningly, and we nodded, nervous of what she would do if we disobeyed. "I'm going to set up the tents, you three drink some water and eat something, here" she threw some water and food at us before walking back to get the tents up. "God, I love her" Coral said, taking a sip of water, Mizzen laughed at er comment, taking on of the granola bars and splitting it in half, handing me one side "you should eat something, with all the blood you've lost I'm surprised you're able to walk. Drink some water and eat and I'll think about letting you walk around." Mizzen handed me a bottle of water as well, and I drank some, thankful to finally have something to drink after what felt like days. After being burdened with death all week, it was nice to know that someone's there to help you.

hey guys, just letting you know I will be going back and editing parts, so you can reread them if you want, cause they'll be a lot better now.
