As the day turned into night, Coral and Olivia went to bed (Probably wanted to make out in private or something) while Ryhlee and I stayed out to watch the stars. I hadn't stopped to look at the stars since my last night in district four. Coral I always spent our nights looking at the stars, it had been a symbol of our freedom and friendship that we had. Not everyone in district four could have a life like we did, and we made sure to make the most of it, after all, you never know when someone could be chosen for the hunger games. I Cherise those days when nothing mattered, when Coral and I could go anywhere at any time, be anyone. But now we have to be careful where we go, who we know, and what we are. Were no longer entertainment for the Capitol, where kids again, and I won't let the Capitol take that away again.
"When do you think we're going to get to district thirteen?" I asked, "I'd say we'll be there by tomorrow night if we don't stop moving." Ryhlee seemed to know everything about district thirteen, but I hadn't expected him to be able to answer that. He must've seen my face because he quickly answered my question "it used to take us a day to get there, so I'm adding time. And if was just out of the mutt's territory it tells me were getting closer." He explained. "You're a genius" I turned over to face him, taking his hand "I'm a lot of things" he joked. "Like?" I asked, "yours's" he answered.
I pulled him up and kissed him, his answer was enough to prove he wanted me in his life. After we broke the kiss, we fell back down, him resting his head on my chest while I played with his hair. "Running away from that arena was the best decision I've ever made; I don't even care about the fact we could get caught at any point. I'm just glad to be here with you." He said, throwing his hands up in the air. "I'm also glad we could get out of there, it's easy to start going through an endless cycle, I might've gone crazy in there." I thought about Eliana, her death seemed to have change Ryhlee, he wasn't as excited as he used to be, and he doesn't seem to be himself. We all changed in the arena, but Ryhlee came out a new person, and I don't know if I can bring him back to how he used to be, like when we first kissed.
"Hey, lovebirds! Stop flirting and go to bed, we're waking up early tomorrow!" Coral peeped her head in and out, and I helped Ryhlee up and held arm while he limped over to the tent "stitches are not fun" he said, sitting down while I zipped the tent up. I wrapped my arms around him, pulling him in closer. "Goodnight Ryhe" I kissed his forehead lightly "Goodnight Mizzi, thank you for helping me today, I appreciate you."
