Take Me Out

My head pounded and the sun wreaked havoc on my tired eyes.

Groaning loudly, I sat up from the battered couch I laid on out in the garden.

My hangover was kicking in full force.

I rolled my eyes I moved to stand but noticed a thin blanket wrapped around my legs.

There were no blankets out here last night.

I pulled up the blanket and examined it. A perfume of pine and rain came off of it.

My hands tore over the blanket knowing exactly whose it was.

The initials ATF were sewn in on the ends.

Fucking freak.

Ripping off his blanket, I numbly reached for a pack of cigarettes sitting on the table beside me.

Throwing the blanket in the fire pit, I lit my cigarette with a match and took a few puffs before tossing it into the pit.

He could try all he wanted. I'm done.

I kicked off my heels and stood up, holding them as I made to return to my room.

'Last night was fun' I laughed to myself.

My brain felt like it was broken. Like I had just been lobotomized.

My feet made small pattering sounds down the halls of the lodge as I walked confidently back to my room.

I could feel all eyes burning on me as I passed. A few even laughed.

"Looking good Brie" I heard one of Ben's friends laugh as I passed the dining room.

As I glanced over, I saw Auden poke up.

My stomach growled at the smell of fresh hashbrowns and bacon, so I made my way over to the voices calling out for me.

The boy, Henry, who called out at me, waved me over.

The table of boys was full, I had no choice but to sit in his lap.

Which is exactly what I did.

"Mmmm I'm starving," I said as I plopped down in his lap reaching for his bacon.

His hands immediately wrapped themselves around my hips.

"Morning Brie-" Hamilton cocked an eyebrow.

I sent him a wink and he grinned.

"Enjoyed yourself at the party then?" Ben joked at Hamilton's side.

I smiled at him and moved around in Henry's lap reaching for the hash browns and eggs.

He groaned and I felt him prod against me.

Jesus, men were too easy.

"Last night was riveting" I said stuffing my face.

The other boys laughed and admired me as I shovelled food into my hungover stomach.

"Gods this is good" I moaned.

As I stuffed my face, a familiar blonde waltzed up to the table.

One of the guys piped up. "Hey guys, this is April, the girl I was telling you about." he gleamed.

I faced her and almost spit out my food.

The girl who had been all over Auden last night stood before me in the arms of Kai, one of Ben's friends. The guy was really sweet, such a shame.

As her gaze met mine, her eyes widened and she stepped back shamefully. Her eyes begged me not to say anything.

I smiled darkly.
