Auden escorted me eagerly to my room.
The second we passed through the crazed looks of everyone listening to Soren's abhorrent words, we erupted in a bubble of hugs and kind words outside the counting library doors.
We pulled it off.
The best part was that no one stopped up while we spoke.
Everyone had seen what I did on the boat, they saw the damn bag of dirt I suffered to get from our last little excursion.
They knew.
The only thing that bugged me a bit was Auden's place in all of this.
He was a big part of the work I did. He mentored me, pushed me and was a huge part of the reason I was so driven in this.
I would make sure he got his recognition.
Unlocking the door, I moved to step in but Auden swept me up into his arms holding me bridal style.
"Ah! what are you doing?!" I laughed.
He chuckled. "I'm so proud of you Brie."
I wrapped my arms around his neck as he kicked the door closed behind us.
He walked over to my bed and threw me down.
My bum hit the bed and my body bounced up against the force of the springs.
I laughed loudly as he watched me struggle off the mattress in my tight dress.
"I'll kill you!" I screamed.
He walked over to me as I made my way to the edge of the bed.
I pulled my legs under me as he reached my sitting form.
His hand reached down and gripped my jaw so that I was looking up at him.
The room disappeared around me. There was only him.
I stood in front of his towering form and looked into his steeling eyes.
"I love you Auden" I whispered.
He sighed and his grip tightened on me.
"Say it again." he gritted out.
I ran my hands down the lapels of his suit and fiddled with the buttons of his shirt, popping them open one by one until his strong chest was exposed.
His breath shuttered as my bare hand met his chest and he growled under his breath reaching for my hair.
"Say. It. Again." he said pulling my hair back so that I faced him again.
I smirked darkly at him and ran my hands down his body, lower and lower until-
"Fuck." he grunted as I reached that area.
His forehead touched mine as I gripped him through his pants.
"You say it." I said basking in all the power I had over him.
He straightened out a little and his smile curved up.
Before I could register what was happening, he took me by my neck and slammed me against the wall.
His teeth captured my bottom lip and I whimpered.
"Why tell you when I can show you how much I love you Aubriella." he groaned as he placed warm kisses down the corner of my mouth to my neck.
I gasped out at the rough mix of pleasure and pain that he covered my body with.
It was addicting.
