REX POCKETED HIS BLASTERS AS THE GUNSHIP DOORS CLOSED, CUTTING THEM OFF FROM THE BATTLE. He released a breath he was holding in as the ship swayed, taking off into the air once more. Three out of the four Jedi on Felucia were picked up, leaving one more to get.

Rex glanced over to General Skywalker who was currently giving Commander Tano a hell of a death stare. General Kenobi was talking to Cody, a gap in between them subconsciously left for the third member of their normal trio. The Jedi that they were currently picking up before evacuating the planet; Anya.

It had been a month since Rex had last seen or heard from Anya. She apparently had been working with the 104th during that time. Rex was reassured in her safety though since he knew Wolffe would never let anything bad happen to her.

Rex had dearly awaited seeing her again. He felt his heart naturally pick up its pace as the gunship descended and opened its door to the battle. Rex leaned out, searching for the familiar padawan.

Anya was stuck in a similar situation as Ahsoka. A squad of droids faced off her
squad as her walkers were brought to a stop by the enemy's tanks. Per usual, Rex found her out in front of her troops, bravely defending them as they exchanged gunfire. Although something had changed. She didn't look like the same person from a month ago.

Her face, which usually sported a smile, was devoid of any emotion. It was blank with concentration as she effortlessly deflected shot after shot. Her movements were more aggressive and mechanical than their typical sway.

Rex furrowed his brows at this. He had never seen her so invested in a battle like this. She didn't even seem to hear the gunships as they circled around.

Not only were her movements different, but also her body itself. A good portion of the baby-fat around her cheeks were gone leaving sculpted cheek bones in its place. It made her look older than what she really was.

The gunships hovered over the battle and General Kenobi cupped a hand over his mouth, "Anya!" Obi-Wan called down, knowing Anya would hear over the noise of the battle. She squinted up at the gunships overhead and her mentor motioned to her. "Get onboard! We're leaving!"

Anya nodded back, immediately turning to the clones around her. She pointed up at the gunships and shouted commands at them.

Rex watched as the soldiers began backing up in an ordered fashion. Anya and a squad defended their retreat as the clones then hopped aboard gunships that lowered to the ground. Rex could see that the clones had to squeeze onboard to all fit. He assumed it was because, per usual, she had no casualties leaving her with more men than what she was expected to have. Clones were meant to be expendable after all.

"Anya! Hurry up!" Obi-Wan yelled at her as he watched the droids press closer on her location.

"Flick, Gear, Taw, and Sinker are still not on!" She yelled back up, a handful of clones left. Anya glanced between the gunship and the four clones.

"Anya, get onboard now!" Obi-Wan shouted in a warning tone, seeing the conflict in her.

Anya's gaze stayed on the four clones as one laser grazed Sinker's shoulder. "I am not leaving anyone behind!" She declared, running back despite Obi-Wans orders.

"What is she doing?" Anakin yelled next to him as he watched his friend run back towards the blaster fire. "Being a fool." Obi-Wan replied as his padawan got the four remaining troops behind her. The droids focused their blasts on her, making it nearly impossible for her to block all their shots as the last clones boarded the gunship. Rex watched in anticipation as laser after laser just missed her. He thought he saw a couple graze her, but she didn't show or let on to being hit. Rex didn't feel himself breath until she finally boarded a gunship. She was the last one out of the battle.
