"WE ALL MISS YOU." Sinker told her over the holocall. "I wish you would come back. When you were here I had an excuse to miss training and I really hate leg day."

Anya laughed as she ruffled Beskar's fur who was snuggled up in her lap. "I miss you too Sinker. Perhaps someday I can work with the 104rth again."

"I know Wolffe would definitely be down for that."

Anya's smile faded at his words. Wolffe. She hadn't talked to him since Khorm. How could she? She was the reason he lost his eye, he probably hated her.

Anya had many friends that she appreciated deeply, but it was different with how she cared for Wolffe. They always had some special bond that was established in silence. Their bond first started on Kamino a few years ago. Wolffe was a fantastic soldier, but he had trouble as a leader. He couldn't emotionally get through to his squad like Rex or command their respect like Cody. The other soldiers feared him due to his rigid exterior and absolute no nonsense attitude. Rex and Cody liked to follow the rules, but they knew how to let loose once in a while. Wolffe did not and so his brothers saw him as stuck-up. Due to this rift between Wolffe and his squad they didn't listen to his orders and they failed their first testing simulation. Wolffe was furious. Rex and Cody tried talking to him afterwards, but he refused to listen. Wolffe stormed off and festered in anger by himself. Until Anya came. She sat down next to him and didn't say a word. She let Wolffe feel his anger and he was grateful for that.

A few months later, a massive storm hit Kamino. The wind shook the supporters and giant waves crashed against Tocca city. The storm came on suddenly and gave no time for Anya and Wolffe to get inside. They were fixing an outer part of the medical facility when the wind abruptly picked up. Wolffe knew the dangers of Kamino storms and insisted the duo should get inside. As they did, Anya's feet slipped on the wet platform and she found herself tumbling towards the edge of the walkway. She was about to fall into the fatal waves below when arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her back. Anya clutched onto Wolffe afterwards, not letting go of him ever since he saved her. Even though he wasn't a fan of physical touch, Wolffe didn't try to push Anya off. He let her hold onto him as she calmed down from her brush with death. None of them said a single word.

Anya owed Wolffe her life, yet she repays him by letting his face get sliced open. She doubted that he would be slap happy about that himself. Anya was too ashamed by herself to face him let alone speak to him.

When Wolffe was in the medbay being treated for his eye, Anya didn't sleep. Instead she paced outside his room until the medic told her he was awake. Anya stared at the medbay door for a couple minutes then left. She didn't go in, she didn't even say anything. She simply walked away with her head bowed.

Anya was ashamed that she, an all powerful Jedi, couldn't keep her friend safe. She knew that Wolffe would be embarrassed for her if he didn't hate her guts. Anya swore it was her duty to protect him and she failed him immensely. It didn't help that every night her dreams repeated the same scene of Ventress slashing his face open just for his mangled, bloody body to be snarling at Anya, yelling that it was her fault it happened to him.

No, Anya did not want to talk to Wolffe. Anya feared that if she faced him, her nightmares would become reality.

"Hey, Wolffe just walked in. Why don't you say hi?" Sinker said cheerfully, waving over someone.

Meanwhile, Anya's eyes widened in fear. "I have to go, Sinker. I will talk to you another day." She rapidly pressed the off button, not waiting to hear his reply. All she could hear was the faint call of 'Anya, wait-!' as a one-eyed clone barely appeared in the frame.
