Classes had just started that week and already Makoto and I were busy. I knew Nanase and Rin would be back in classes too. I wonder if they broke up before Rin went back to Australia. Probably not. If they didn't, I bet Rin would stay true to Nanase but I seriously doubt that Nanase would do the same.
Friday night and Makoto and I had decided to go to some party one of our friends was throwing. Okay, one of Makoto's friends. It was at the host's house and when we get there, who opens the door but Kisumi. I just looked at him for a minute, I could've guessed who was throwing the party. This would also mean that Nanase would certainly be there. Kisumi smiled over-enthusiastically, "Makoto! Sousuke!"
"Kisumi!" Makoto smiled and went to hug Kisumi.
After, Kisumi took a step back, looking at us. He hummed to himself, "Where's Haru? I was sure he'd be with you Makoto."
Makoto's face lit up red, he obviously didn't want to talk about Nanase. I brought an arm up to rest it Makoto's shoulder. We haven't exactly gone public as a couple yet but now seems like a good time to let Kisumi know. I smirk, "Makoto doesn't have time for Nanase."
Kisumi's eyebrows hit the ceiling, "Oh you two are... Didn't see that coming." He chuckles lightly, "Does that mean that Rin and Haru?"
"Yeah," I kept my answer short.
Kisumi laughed again and didn't hesitate to say, "You guys are paired off wrong!"
I narrowed my eyes at him, starting to get pissed off. Makoto saw this and smiled, "Haha yeah, the other pairings didn't work out." Makoto looked over to me, "But I'm glad with the way things turned out."
"Well come on in," Kisumi smiled, "The party's just starting!" We followed him inside and could instantly hear music thumping. There were already a good number of people there, I felt a little lost because I didn't know any of them.
After a while, people kept coming and going and I saw one more familiar face in the crowd. Nanase. I didn't think he even liked Kisumi that much. But it's not long until I see him sitting with Kisumi, with Kisumi's arm draped around his shoulders. That's just the kind of person Kisumi is but is Haru really that desperate already? What about Rin? I turned away from the scene, I didn't want to see awful things Haru was going to do. Makoto must've seen the look on my face because he asked, "Sousuke? What's wrong?"
"Nothing," I didn't tell him what I saw because I didn't want to upset him since he's still quite bitter towards Nanase.
Makoto sighed, "It's Haru isn't it? Is he making a scene?"
"Not yet, he's actually being quite friendly with Kisumi," I snickered.
Makoto just shook his head, "Rin's been gone for maybe two and a half weeks and Haru's already flirting with other people..." Makoto smiled, "It's actually a good thing for me that Haru left when he did, otherwise I would be really pissed off right now."
I smirked, "You know Makoto, you're too good at hiding the way you really feel behind that smile of yours."
