Moving Forward

Reunion

We approached the circle around Rin with our best smiles. That was easy for Makoto, I just looked like my usual straight-faced self. Kisumi saw us come up, saying, "Oh Makoto, Sousuke, Rin was just telling us about swimming in Australia!"

Kisumi was completely oblivious to the tension between us, after all he had no idea all the events that transpired between the four of us. Makoto answered for us, I could see that dark look in his eye as he said, "That's great, Rin! Haru is still swimming hard here too. Have you seen him yet?"

Rin looked at us a little suspiciously, "I-I actually haven't seen him yet."

"Come on," Makoto, still smiling, gestured for Rin to follow, "I'm pretty sure I saw him over here a few minutes ago." Makoto was being heartless, I didn't even have to say anything and this was my idea.

Rin smiled and waved to the rest of the group and followed us away from most people. As we were walking, Rin grabbed both our arms, making us stop. He couldn't look at us as he said, "I'm sorry... really I am." He held on tighter, "There's no excuse for what I did..."

Makoto's expression softened. He said as he gently pulled his arm away, "Haru left because he wanted to, you didn't make him leave." He looked at Rin more sternly, carefully choosing his words, "You don't have to apologize to me."

Rin looked directly at me, I couldn't help letting out a sigh, "Rin, it's just going to take time." Rin let his hand fall away slowly and I did feel a little bad for him. I just wanted to change the topic, "Come on, let's go find Nanase."

We started back down the hall where we were pretty sure Haru had disappeared to. We hadn't gone far when we walked by a room and heard noises coming from inside. The sound of bodies smacking against each other was unmistakable. I wanted to just throw the door open and catch Haru in the middle of everything. But Makoto lightly touched my arm, barely noticeable but I knew he wanted me to wait. Rin didn't seem to notice the sounds coming from inside so I figured it might be a little strange if I opened the only closed door without checking the others first.

We looked in the other rooms that had their doors open and of course Nanase was nowhere to be found. We casually went back to the closed door and I opened it like it was no big deal. But there they were. Haru with his pants down getting fucked from behind by Kagami or something. Makoto and I were standing in pretend horror, but Rin's... his was real.

We were just in time to see Nanase come all over the bed in front of him and Kagami come in his ass. "H-Haru..." Tears were already flowing down Rin's cheeks. Haru looked back for the first time, shocked to see all three of us standing looking at him. His normally cool face instantly turned pink. Rin gritted his teeth, yelling, "Haru! You bastard!" He turned on his heel and ran fast out of there. I looked back to Haru to see him pulling up his pants and doing his best to run after Rin.
