Once again, classes are finally done, or at least for now. Makoto and I had it pretty rough this time and we don't want to think about it for a long time and so of course we told Kisumi that we would go to his end of the quarter party. I don't know what we were thinking. We didn't really have much fun last time watching Nanase hitting up Kisumi. And from what Kisumi said, Haru's been really bad about having one-nighters with other people. What did Rin see in him? I can only figure that he doesn't know.
But still we go to the party and of course Nanase is already there getting hit on by some jock on the college basketball team. Makoto made his way around the party to find Kisumi and I couldn't help but hang back by where the drinks were. I never really was a party person. I probably looked like I was having the worst time of my life because Makoto came back and ran a hand along my arm. He smiled in that angelic way he always does, "Is something wrong Sousuke?"
I tried to shake it off, "Sorry I'm not being much fun."
Makoto giggled, "Don't worry about it Sou, if you're not having fun we can leave."
I smirked, "Nah it's fine. I don't want to make you leave."
Makoto just smiled back. He leaned against the wall next to me, looking out at the party. He laughed while saying, "You get such a good view of everything from here." I only grunted in response. But Makoto went quiet after that. I turned to look at him and he had such a serious expression on his face. He was intently looking at something in the midst of people.
I looked where he was looking at saw what bothered him. A flash of maroon red caught my eye. He was standing with his back to us. He was in a big circle of people, with Kisumi directly at his side. Everyone was talking to him, no doubt asking him about what it was like in Australia. Makoto and I were the only two to still be sitting in the corner with scowls on our faces. Well I was definitely scowling, Makoto was making an expression as close as he could get to one.
We were just staring at Rin, burning holes in the back of his head. He must've felt like he was being watched because he glanced back and saw us both standing there. He smiled awkwardly before turning back around. I only sighed, things with him would not be easy for a long time. But for everyone standing around him, Nanase wasn't among them. Where was that awful boyfriend? Getting fucked in a back room by that redheaded basketball player. I laughed at the thought. I leaned over to Makoto, whispering, "How much do you wanna bet that Nanase is in a back room right now, sucking some guy off?"
Makoto looked at me wide-eyed, "Sousuke?"
He didn't realize that Nanase was gone, so I pointed to the crowd around Rin, "Look. Nanase is not there. So where is he?"
Makoto nearly choked, "You're right..."
"Maybe we should take Rin and go find him," I smirked, nudging Makoto's side.
"Sousuke!" Makoto looked at me, "Do you have to be so mean?"
I laughed, "Come on, you know you want to too. And besides," I smiled more deviously, "If Nanase's not doing anything he shouldn't be then we have nothing to worry about."
