Good Morning

I was still out walking around when the sun began to rise.  I knew I should go back, I was practically falling asleep, but I didn't want to just be there sitting and waiting for Makoto.  Makoto would sleep in like he always does but instead of wrapped in my arms, he'll have his arms wrapped around Rin.  I wasn't wrong, I knew it.  I mostly just knew them both too well to have there be any doubt about what they did last night.  Rin was alone and hurting and Makoto was too fucking nice.  Of course they'd end up together like that.

The more I thought about them together, the angrier I got.  It just kept building and I didn't feel tired anymore.  I started to run again, just around the neighborhood at a relaxed pace.  Just like a normal early morning jogger would.  Good thing the pajamas I was wearing when I bolted out of the house were just shorts and a T-shirt otherwise I would really stand out right now.

I passed by a bakery and thought about getting breakfast since I might have to be out for a while.  But I didn't exactly bring my wallet with me.  That's when I decided to go back.  I could get everything I needed and still be gone before Makoto got back.  No, I knew what I was going to do, I'd pay the Matsuoka family a nice surprise.  After all, Gou and I were friends and I knew that was where Rin was staying for the break.

I got back to my apartment and got all cleaned up and headed back out.  I still texted Gou to make sure she knew I was coming.  The whole walk to his house, I spent calming down.  I wanted to be sure I acted normally around Gou.  And by the time I got to their door, I was able to wear my usual flat expression.  After all the problem wasn't Makoto and Rin together like this, I loved them both, no the problem was that I couldn't let them leave me behind like this.

"Sousuke-kun!"  Gou smiled, seeming genuinely happy to see me.

"Hey Gou," I smiled back, "It's been too long."  She stepped back to let me inside and as soon as I walked through the door she threw her arms around me.  I only smiled.

"You used to come here all the time with Onii-chan!  What happened?"

I didn't realize she noticed so much, "Well last summer we kind of had a falling out."  I felt bad not explaining more but what could I say?  I couldn't tell her we had a one-night-stand just so he could leave and seduce someone else.

She narrowed her eyes at me but didn't push the topic.  I never was one to go into detail anyway.  "Here, sit down," she walked over to the kitchen table, "I was just having breakfast, do you want some?"

"That'd be great."  I hadn't realized how hungry I was, I hadn't really eaten anything since dinner last night.  "What can I do to help?"

"Oh nothing," she smiled at me, "I have an omelet already made."  She gave me a plate and a cup of coffee.

The coffee was just what I needed since I was starting to feel tired again.  So we ate together, talked about what was going on at my university.  She had just started to go to one herself since she was only a year behind us.  She said how she randomly ended up going to the same university as Seijuuro and they happened to meet.  I knew that feeling too well.  She said that they were even dating now.

A heard a door creak open behind me and footsteps coming down the hall. Was it that late in the morning already?  I just smiled to myself when I heard the footsteps stop.  I bet they were surprised to see me there.  I turned around in my seat to see them both standing there staring at me.  I smiled smugly at them, "Morning Rin, Makoto."
