Haru didn't resist, he quietly left the apartment.  When the door closed behind him, I seriously hoped that would put an end to all the drama with him.  I stood behind Makoto, snaking my arms around his waist.  He leaned back into me, sighing.  I held him a little tighter, "Makoto.  Are you okay?"

Makoto slowly nodded, "I think I'm just realizing how it's really over."  He tilted his head up to smile at me, "I think I needed the closure."

I smirked and kissed his forehead, "I still think you're too gentle with him."

"For me, it's... it's like I don't need to be vindictive," Makoto looked forward, "It's not to say that he didn't hurt me, it's just like I said, I moved on.  I moved forward and here I am with you."  Makoto turned in my embrace to face me.  He wrapped his arms around my shoulders, smiling, "And besides, is being gentle a bad thing?"

"Makoto," I smirked, "I love it when you're sweet."

He giggled and smiled with his eyes closed.  He lightly pecked me on the lips before saying, "You're spoiling me."

I raised my eyebrows at him, "I'm spoiling you?"

"Yes."  He said in all complete seriousness.  "You're spoiling me.  Before you, I didn't need someone to lean on or to take care of me.  But now, I need it.  You created that need."  I could only look at Makoto, I almost thought he was joking because he never talked like that.  But Makoto only wrapped his arms tighter and kept speaking, "And you're spoiling me rotten because you're always there when I need it.  I crave you, all of you.  Especially like right now.  You're here with me through everything that's happened with Haru even though I know you don't like him."

I smiled, I didn't know he felt so strongly.  Made me happy to hear though.  "Makoto," I brought a hand up to brush his hair behind his ear, "For as long as I've known you, you have devoted yourself to taking care of someone.  I think you deserve a turn."  I leaned in and kissed him gently.  After a minute, I pulled back, I looked into his eyes, "What's made you so sappy all of a sudden?"

"Sappy?"  Makoto giggled, "Fine, call it sappy.  I think I'm just realizing how much I love being taken care of."  He smiled with his eyes closed, "I think we're good together, you and me.  And I just want to keep moving forward together."

"If you're thinking what I think you're thinking, then we can't," I looked at him sternly, I knew exactly what he wanted.

"But Sou!"  He pleaded, "I think we could make it work."

"Makoto..." I looked into his eyes, he was doing the puppy dog eye thing on me.  "Why now?"

Makoto looked down at our feet, "Well I've always wanted one but... With Haru... I never actually saw it happening."  He looked up at me again, more serious this time, "But with you, I feel like I wouldn't be the only one who cares.  And with things finally over and done with between Haru..."  He leaned his forehead against mine, "I really do want to move forward with you."

"And getting a cat is the logical next step?"  I held him tighter, as much as I was resisting, I thought it was cute the way he seemed to put so much relationship value into getting a cat.

Makoto smiled, holding my face in his hands, "Think of it as having our own little family, only easier."

"Makoto, I've never been much of a pet person."  Makoto's gaze wavered a little when I said this, but I just smiled and kept talking, "But I like the idea of having a family with you."

Makoto brightened up.  He pressed his head into my shoulder, tightly wrapping his arms around me.  I laughed and held him tighter, "You're so excited."

Makoto looked up at me, "I just like planning a future together."

I leaned my head to be inches from his, whispering, "Makoto..."  I pressed my lips firmly into his.  He relaxed into me, pressing his whole body against mine.  I moved to kiss his neck, my lips brushing across his skin as I said, "You're too fucking cute."

[A/N: thank you all who are reading this story and have cheered me on through out the way and have made suggestions!  This story could've not existed if it hadn't been for all of you requesting a sequel.  I've really gone overboard with having fun myself with the scenes/lemons.  I so enjoyed writing it and I hope you enjoyed reading it!]
