Lucy's P.O.V.
Natsu told me everything that happened with Loke. It was almost the end of the day and I wanted to rip my hair out. Loke was having more problems with his father, so I decided to leave him alone. Then all of a sudden, Loke and Natsu weren't getting along. I tried to find out what was going on between them but they both said it wasn't important. At lunch, Natsu said he would go with me to the dance, but with the way he's acting, I'm probably not going to go. Also, a group of kids from a rival school, Phantom Lord, came and threatened us. It was too much to take in at once.
I sighed as I looked around the classroom. We had to write an essay about how our parents helped us become who we are today. I laughed a little when I thought about how dark Loke's essay could be. Now that I thought about it, my essay could be really dark too. Levy, Loke, and I were the only ones who finished our essays. Unfortunately, Levy was across the room and Loke didn't seem like he wanted to talk. We became used to Laxus dropping in every now and then, but lately, he hasn't popped up. I overheard people saying that he had finally decided to get another job. I wondered what I was going to do later on. We got out early today, so I could go visit the middle school.
Suddenly the end of the day bell rang. I shot up and ran to my locker. I was surprised when I saw a different combination lock on my locker. Having Loke's locker next to mine, I didn't want to take any chances. I looked around to see if I could find anyone who might have done this, but there weren't any suspects around. Somehow, the lock seemed familiar.
"Well that looks familiar," Loke said.
"Is it yours?" I asked him.
"I have a lock like that," he said. "But I don't ever use it."
"Can you try to open it?"
"I could... But what would I get out of that?"
"My gratitude?"
"Perhaps a favor?"
"You did this on purpose didn't you?"
"Why would I do such a thing?"
"You did!"
"I just need some help," he said. "Gray isn't available right now and Natsu wouldn't be able to do the job."
"That depends. What do you need me to do?"
Levy's P.O.V.
Lu-chan was supposed to meet me in the parking lot, but she wasn't here. Jet and Droy were waiting with me, but they weren't exactly comforting. I decided to text Lucy.
Lu-chan
Hey, where are you?
I waited for her answer but it didn't come. 'Come on,' I thought. 'I need to call dad to pick us up.'
Lu-chan
Hey, where are you?
Sorry, Lucy can't come right now, she's busy
Who is this?
It's Loke, Lucy's helping me right now
You can go without her, I'll give her a ride home
Isn't that illegal?
