The day of reckoning had come. It was Saturday, the day of the funeral. Ash, Misty, Pikachu, Mr. Mime, and Ash and Misty's pokemon were all there. The pokemon knew her and knew of a loss, so they were out and showed respect. The rest of Ash's pokemon would come with professor Oak, and all the pokemon(except Pikachu and Mr. Mime) would be out on the field.

"Do you th-" Before Ash could finish his sentence, a familiar guy came in.

"There's your answer."

"H-hey Brock, glad you could come."

Brock went over and gave Ash a hand shake into a hug.

"Of course, amigo."

"Really dude."

Brock smilled, then went to say hi to Misty. Then, everyone else started to come in.

"Thank you for coming Drew, May, and is this little Nick?" Nick waved hi.

"Yes he is." Said a slightly cold May.

"Listen, I'm very sorry for what I did. I would love to talk later and try to be a better friend. The friend you knew before."

"We would like that, and we are very sorry for your loss."

"Thanks Drew." May gave a warm smile, and they walked on.

"Thanks for coming Paul and Dawn. Before you guys leave, I would like to talk with you to try and be better for you and I just realized your belly is, uh...bigger."

"Well Ash, I'm sorta...pregnant."

"R-really!?"

"Yeah, 3 months."

"With Paul right?" Paul nodded yes. "That's great! I'm so happy for you guys!"

"I'm glad something joyful can happen on this day."

"Me too, speaking of, let's talk later ok. I mean it, I want to be better."

"Ok." Paul just nodded, and they walked on.

...

Ash managed to talk to almost everyone, just 3 left.

"Hey Serena, thank you for coming."

"Well, I only did it for her."

"Listen Serena, I just want to say I'm really sorry for the way I treated you that day. I should have let you down easy. I was acted way out of hand that day, and I'm sorry. I would love it if we could talk later and try to be friends again."

Serena looked him in the eyes. She could tell he was being honest. She liked those eyes.

"I would like that." She gave him a hug, then walked off.

"Hey professor, thanks for coming."

"Of course Ash."

"Are the pokemon ok?"

"Yes they are."

"Well that's a relief. I'll see them afterwards."

"Alright, now be wary. Gary isn't too happy with you, so try not to push any buttons. He should be fine with the circumstances however, anyways I'll say hi to the others."

"Of course."

The professor walked away, and Gary stepped up. With him was a girl he didn't know.

"Hey Gary, thanks f-"

"Yeah yeah."

"So, who is this?"

"This is my fiance, Leaf."

"Oh, sorry we have to meet under the circumstances."

"I'm shocked you're meeting her in the first place."

"Yeah I deserve that, and I don't know how much it'll mean, but I'm sorry. I would love if we could talk later about me being a better friend. Of course we don't have to be friends if you don't want to, but I sure as hell want to be in your life and all of their lives again."

Gary looked as dead in the eyes. He was about to speak, when Leaf pulled his arm. She whispered into his ear. Gary looked at her, and she grabbed something from her purse.

"Here."

"What's this?"

"A wedding invitation, and Gary would love to talk later." Garry nodded.

"A-alright, thank you." They then went to say hi to the others. "Now, it's time for the hard part."
