1. Noodle bar (part 1)

This takes place after season 10.

Kai and Cole were walking towards their favourite restaurant, Chen's Noodle Bar. Their friend, Skylor, basically owned the whole place since her father, Chen, had been banished into the Cursed Realm. They usually didn't have time to spend as a trio because there was continually someone trying to conquer Ninjago, and as they are the saviours of the city, it's their duty to safe it every time. Now, when the latest battle was won, they finally decided to meet. Basically, it saw supposed to be just Skylor and Kai, but Kai insisted on bringing Cole too.

Kai had driven them there in the late evening. It was already dark outside, and the slightly cool air forced people inside. Kai opened the main door and they walked into the restaurant. They spotted Skylor sitting at a table already drinking lemon water. 

"Hi Skylor!" Kai greeted her. Skylor looked up and met eyes with them. She smiled and waved them to sit at the table. Kai sat next to Skylor and Cole in front of Kai. They ordered some noodles to eat as Cole's stomach was fighting against him.

When the food arrived, they talked about all the things that got in mind. There was a lot to catch up on as it had been a long time since they last saw each other. 

"How are things going at the Monastery?" Asked Skylor.

"Quite good. It needed some repairing after the battle with Oni but now it's like new." Kai answered. 

"And do you already know that Nya is now Jay's Yang?" Cole added mouth full of noodles.

"Yes, I heard about it." Skylor chuckled.

"You know I was the first to hear that?" Kai boasted.

"Really?"

"Yes. And I kind of asked Jay to be my Yang." Kai let out but after Cole literally choked on his noodles Kai had to add, "It was a practice of course."

"You should have practised it with me instead." Cole commented after his coughing fit had stopped.

"I didn't really need to practise. I'm good at going on my knees."

"No doubt on that." Cole raised his eyebrows knowingly and took some more noodles in his mouth.

Skylor watched from the side, just sipping her lemon water and blinking at their unbelievable behaviour. Kai seemed to get what Cole really meant because he playfully slapped Cole's hand and said something about stopping with the inappropriate comments.

"Sooo," Skylor started, "How is it going with you two? Any updates I should be aware of?"

"Nothing unusual. I'm still the best-looking one and Cole's the groups' daddy." Kai waved his hair effectively.

"You're the only one who calls me daddy." Cole mouthed.

Kai rolled his eyes, trying to keep is coolness.

"Umm." Skylor sat there; her jaw dropped open. Do they seriously throw flirtatious sentences to each other and act like it's nothing? What is going on for the name of Lord Garmadon? Skylor noted that Kai seemed to be much more interested in Cole than in her. Skylor had to admit that she started to get jealous as Kai's attention was constantly given to someone else. She was used to getting all the attention, especially when talking about Kai. She had even thought there would have been something between her and Kai. Even the slightest sparkle? 

But no. It seemed like all the distance between them had made Kai's feelings disappear. Skylor knew Kai had liked her at some point. They had even almost kissed one time. But thanks to Dareth's perfect timing, it never happened. Sarcasm.
