MEVRIK MEGKÚRT EGY BAGLYOT VÍÍÍÍÍŰŰŰŰVÍÍÍÍÍŰŰŰŰVÍÍÍÍÍŰŰŰŰ

- Wanna go on a walk, Scarlett? - asked Mevrik. The team's male part, the glorious engineering team, the strong, manly masculine men, this testosterone-duo, these saviours, Zachary and Gaylord, were standing in a bit of a shock. This was a bit sudden, after all; they just got rid of the black market of this town. Not exactly the situation where you would want anything else than a warm bed.
But not in Mevrik's case.
Scarlett also got surprised a bit, but tried not to show this:
- No objections, don't get me wrong, but for what reason?
- Eh, nothing, I just wanna ask something.
- Why cannot you ask now?
- ...in private. - he looked around the room. Gaylord and Zachary were shocked AND confused. Not because of sheer jealousy [HEY, VSAUCE, MICHAEL HERE, SO, AS YOU CAN SEE, HE IS NOT JEALOUS. OR IS HE?], rather it was really unexpected for them. Tia wore the same face, altough with a bit more tiredness.
- Well - replied Scarlett, after a brief moment -, I guess we should head out then.
- Exactly. - said Mevrik, and they proceeded onward to the streets.

It was a beautiful full moon outside. It was bathing the whole town in it's blueish light, careful, like a parent putting a child to sleep, caressing every little nook on the walls of the houses, the gaps in the street blocks; and the two individuals, walking, and engagin in verbal communication:
- So, why are we here? - asked Scarlett.
- I was thinking, you know, the team is together a long time, but we don't really know each other. - replied Mevrik.
- But then I should be able to ask from you, shouldn't I? - Mevrik was thinking for a couple of seconds, and then said:
- You know what? You can ask one thing, you get one answer, then I can do the same, rinse and repeat until we feel done. Deal?
- Deal. You shall start, you invited me.
- Okay, soooooo, how did you became a nurse?
- Nothing interesting, really. My parents were doctors, and I could've been one as well. I just feel more comfortable being a nurse. I've always found it more people friendly, you know; to hear them speak, and not just lie on a hospital bed while I cut them open and stuff. I've heard a great many things, last wishes, arguments, even deathbed confession. And I really liked helping people solve these issues, while also having the medical bacground for anything else. So, yeah, that's why I'm "just" a nurse.
- And where are your parents now?
- Well... - her eyes got a bit gloomy, but she soon realized that it's not her turn. Yet. - ...wait, isn't it my turn to ask?
- Oh, shit, yea, go ahead mommy.
- What?
- Nothing, go on.
This segment was followed by a bit of really awkward silence. But at least it gave Scarlett time to think about a question:
- Where are YOU from, if we are at the topic?
- From a small tribe of fairies, on an island-country pretty far away from here. - Mevrik stopped here. Not because he had something else to say, he just felt that he completed the task.
- Wait, that's it?
- Yea, those are the rules. - he could feel Scarlett's annoyed mood.
He liked it.
- So, what happened to your parents?
- They died. Alder, the dictator, got them executed. - the overall mood had dropped. Tension had arisen in the air, and even the guiding embrace of the full moon couldn't help it. Mevrik, altough he likes to hide it, but felt empathy, right know as well. He wanted to look Scarlett in the eye, but because of the height difference, he instead, was facing two G R A P E F R U I T O K A T.
Scarlett, luckily, didn't notice, so our naughty-naughty bard got away with it, then said:
- Okay, you know what, eerrmm... talk about your blood-powers. Afterwards, you can ask two. - Scarlett hesitated for a moment, but got hherself together:
- Well, it's... blood. I can control it. It's like you what you do with... whatever you do it with.
- Controlling, as in...?
- As in, for example, I am in control of your body now. - she let out an evilish smile, made a gesture with her hands; and Mevrik's left hand was moving with it.
- Also, this was a third question.
- Nosey, are we? - said Mevrik, with a mocking tone. - You know what, go ahead, I'm feeling lucky.
- Why hide your wings?
- Ehh, I don't like them that much. - Scarlett could sense that this wasn't the most honest answer Mevrik gave tonight, but she decided to leave the topic.
- Why are you collecting souls? - now Mevrik hesitated. He knew he made the rules, and there is no escape now.
- I need them to... save someone. And, please... - he stopped again - ...don't ask whom. I'll answer anything else.
- Okay. Hmmm... how you do it?
- Welp, they ask for a favor, which I grant them, and in exchange I get their souls.
- And...
- Nonononoooo, darling, my turn. What are your plans after we "deliver" Sevrik?
- Auuughh... okay, true, I used all 3. He offered me a position in the kingdom. And I plan to rebuild the hospital.
- But that means you will stay there for a long time... - Mevrik did not get devastated by this news, but alas, he got a bit sad. He grew to like these people, this team. And the thought of it slipping away was maddening for him.
- Yeah, probably. But my turn...
- Yes?
- ...can you do a favor for me too?
- Well... yes. Yes, I can.
At this moment, something happened. By whom, what powers, it is unkown, but both of them backed out of this possibility at them same moment. Only Scarlett was quicker:
- I will think about it. Not now.
- Well, I mean, I can grant it, but... - "If you try to take any of their souls, I will not hesitate to end you. Not for a second." echoed Zachary's words in Merik's mind. At the same time, he realized he can use this:
- ...but Zachary said he will kill me if I try to take your soul.
- What? - her thoughts started racing rapidly. "Wha...what? It is my life, I have the absolute choice in regard of that. How could he even think about something like this? But also, why would he try to protect someone this much..."
The following, slight blush was only noticed by the moonlight's rays. And those can keep secrets.
- Yea, I don't know what's going on between you bu...
- Nothing. - she quickly changed to a more formal tone. - I guess he is just really protective towards the team.
- If you say so... anyways, I only think of you like my older sister, so not like I... - Mevrik stopped, and thus the conversation halted the last time. They agreed to go back.
But as the last sentence left Mevrik's mouth; the gentle moon catched two thoughts with it's ray-hands:
"Gosh, he should decide what he wants, not tease around and then saying something like this."
"I need to decide what I want to do. Urgently."
