--SPN timeline is the same except Crowley spends time spying on his daughter once he learns of her existence while she is in Hell. He is the one to pull her out. Sam and Dean don't learn about her until much later and they're warned to leave Kayda alone.
--Damon never uses Caroline or any other girl. Caroline is not close to Elena or Bonnie but is still somewhat friends with them. Damon and Caroline get along on the basis of irritating a certain pair of Doppelgangers. Damon hates Katherine and eventually hates Elena. Stefan gravitates to Elena, he is blinded by the Traveler's curse and doesn't see how much Elena and Kat are alike.
--Soulmate fic: OC/Damon Soulmarks appear on Kayda and Damon after Kayda comes back from Hell.
