19. The Madman's Cursed Letter

Despite all the tears the Mikaelsons cried, and all the half-truths shattering their world views; dawn came, as it always does, completely disregarding the dark night still dwelling over their minds. The sun rose, bringing some clarity to their scattered thoughts. Crying and sulking would not help them. They are Mikaelsons, after all, they would get through it.

Besides, now, finally, they were all together... And their loved ones had finally woken up.

Sage and Finn quickly embraced, sitting aside, with their heads close together, telling each other of all their sins, pain and sorrows since they were last together. Finn then introduced Sage to Freya and Henrik, crying when his favorite people in the world finally met each other. Freya wanted to know everything about the woman who had stolen her brother's heart so thoroughly it gave him the strength to live.

Kol and Davina had a prolonged kissing session, only interrupted when Kol accidentally sent curtains on fire with his magic. Then, they laughed, hugging and having Kol try his old favorite spells. He, too, wanted his beloved to meet Henrik, the new celebrity of the Mikaelson family.

Marcel arrived soon after, hugging Davina tightly, only letting her go when he saw Camille, Henrik and Rebekah laughing together. Marcel and Rebekah hugged, forgiving each other. He still had not forgiven the other Mikaelsons, but he still loved her.

Elijah checked on Hayley to make sure she was alright. But he stormed to Gia, hugging her so tightly, as though he was afraid she was only a mirage, a dream. Jackson also checked on Hayley, but he quickly realized she had other things in her mind.

Hayley held on to her daughter, only letting go of Hope to hug Klaus and Elijah. She could not shake off the terror of the past night.

Camille hugged her friends, Vincent, Marcel, Davina, Josh and Aiden. But once she saw how lost Henrik looked while his siblings were occupied with their friends, her protective instincts kicked in. Cami sat with Henrik, after hugging Klaus, and asked him questions, trying to make him feel more comfortable. They both still felt death lingering around them.

Klaus was ecstatic to see both Cami, Hayley, and Hope safe and sound. But even as he hugged them tight, making sure they were alright, and real; Klaus could not let his guard down. He kept on waiting for the next cruel revelation. Klaus refused to explain what had happened when they asked him, forcing Hayley and Cami to ask the other Mikaelsons for information.

None of them wanted to speak about it. Except Henrik, who gladly and excitedly told everyone about how Mikael had saved them. He added the details of his siblings' conversations with Mikael, giving more context to his father's actions.

"But," Cami asked, her gaze fixed on Klaus, trying to read the empty, devastated expression on his face. "Where is Mikael now?"

"He-he was just here..." Henrik mumbled, looking around desperately.
