notes written in end of 2023: this will be a 3 part series. The second part will be a collection of letters and diary entries from the Mikaelsons, called "Despite all Hatred and Disdain". The Third and final part will be a story called "Against all my fear and dismay" and it will pick up right where this story ends.
2024:
HOWEVER, I also had an epilogue planned for this story, from child Hope's pov. But I've decided to end this story here. Originally, the ending was supposed to be darker, and sadder. But I think I like this better.
I'm also not sure I want to write a sequel for this. I had one planned almost from the start of this story. But now... idk it feels like i already wrote way too much for it??
Still, I have one scene of Mikael and Klaus reuniting that I might still write and post somewhere.
I didn't do much planning when I started this story. It was just a "alternative universe" of my series in marvelous_tragedy. It was supposed to be shorter and easier lol
It was fun to write, wayyyy less stressful than my other stories where I'm always too much of a perfectionist.
I wanted to try and write a more Cannon Version of Mikael and Klaus' relationship, which I'm not sure worked, but I liked the results. I wanted a more Cannon Redemption arc for Mikael. But at the same time I couldn't help but throw in a bit of my ideas for my main series. That's where the whole Hollow is Mikael's Mother comes from. I'll use that in a few more stories. Mostly because I really like the feel of that. I just think it's fun.
In the end, it was a fun experience. A lot of people in a lot of different platforms liked this story, so in part I kept writing for them even when I was ready to give up on this.
There were some moments where I was a bit disappointed with the response to this story, but also lots of moments when I adored it. So thank you, for all the support you gave me.
I know this is not very usual fic, so thank you so much for giving it a try, and reaching the end.
This is my first time ever finishing a fic I've posted. I thought I'd feel different, I'm super happy and proud, tho. But idk, I already miss this story I guess lol I'm a sentimental and dramatic idiot, if you haven't noticed.
