Wednesday, 17th of April, 2024...

A gentle breeze carried the scent of the sea as Xiao and Albedo stepped through the portal, leaving the familiar lands of Teyvat behind. The city of Cardiff unfolded before them, a tapestry of history and modernity interwoven under the soft glow of the afternoon sun.

Xiao, the Conqueror of Demons, found himself momentarily disarmed by the sight of the ancient castle standing proudly amidst the city's heart, a sentinel of ages past. Beside him, Albedo's eyes sparkled with the curiosity of a scholar beholding a new chapter of knowledge to uncover.

They walking down through the city streets, Albedo's gaze lingering on the architectural marvels while Xiao remained vigilant, ever the protector, even in this land of peace. The Welsh capital was alive with the rhythm of daily life, a symphony of sounds that was both foreign and oddly comforting.

Their path led them to Bute Park, where the green expanse offered a serene respite from the urban sprawl. Here, Albedo coaxed Xiao into a moment of rest, promising that even a Yaksha deserved the gift of tranquility on his birthday.

As the day waned, they found themselves at Cardiff Bay, where the water mirrored the sky's twilight hues. Albedo presented Xiao with the wind chime, its delicate tinkle harmonizing with the lap of the waves. It was a sound that Xiao would carry with him, a memory of the day when barriers fell, and friendship spoke the language of silent understanding.

The story then continued with their visit to Cardiff Castle and the quiet birthday dinner, culminating in a newfound appreciation for the world beyond Teyvat and the bonds that tie souls together, regardless of the worlds they call home.

The city of Cardiff was abuzz with the lively chatter of its inhabitants and the melodious hum of the Welsh language. It was a special day, not just for the city but for two visitors from a distant land, Xiao and Albedo.

Xiao, the vigilant Yaksha, had never been one for celebrations, but this year was different. Albedo, the alchemist with a keen eye for beauty and detail, and as his boyfriend, had convinced him to venture beyond the borders of Liyue for his birthday. "There's a world out there filled with wonders that even an Adeptus has yet to see," Albedo had said with a smile.

As they walked through the bustling streets of Cardiff, Xiao couldn't help but feel a sense of calm. The city's blend of ancient castles and modern architecture was a sight to behold. Albedo, ever the artist, sketched the landscapes and people, capturing the essence of the city on his canvas.

They visited the iconic Cardiff Castle, where Albedo explained the intricate art and history behind the medieval walls. Xiao listened, his usual stoic demeanor softened by the passion in Albedo's voice. They climbed to the top of the keep, and as they looked over the city, Albedo handed Xiao a small, wrapped gift.

"It's a tradition here to exchange gifts on one's birthday," Albedo said. Xiao opened it to find a beautifully crafted wind chime, with pieces resembling the crystal flies of Liyue. "For when you miss the sounds of home," Albedo added.

The day ended with a quiet dinner at a local restaurant, away from the noise and crowds. They enjoyed a simple meal, the flavors new yet somehow familiar. As they ate, Xiao found himself talking, really talking, about his hopes, fears, and the quiet moments in between.

Albedo listened, his presence a silent reassurance. There were no grand declarations or festivities, just two souls sharing time and stories. And for the first time in centuries, Xiao felt truly celebrated on his birthday.

As the night drew to a close, they walked back to their lodgings, the streets of Cardiff now quiet and serene. Xiao looked up at the stars, a rare smile gracing his lips. "Thank you, Albedo," he said, "for a birthday worth remembering."

And in the cool Welsh night, two figures from Teyvat disappeared into the tales of the city, their story etched into the memory of time.
