I am so sorry.
Vegas's pov:
I stared at myself in the mirror after putting my hairbrush on the dresser in front of me.
We're having a gala night tonight.
Kinn, Porsche, Kim, and I are attending.
That wouldn't be unusual since we've attended such events before as well.
Before we went to Toronto and before Kim and I even got together.
But tonight is different.
I know it is.
I looked behind me through the mirror as Kim came to stand behind me.
I could tell he was thinking the same thing.
"It's tonight, isn't it?" I asked softly as he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me back against him.
"Yeah. It's our last night." He replied softly and tightened his hug.
We've had this foreboding feeling for a while now.
As if warning us that we don't have much time left.
It's just a feeling, but we've been in this world too long for us to just ignore it.
We've made preparations.
Videos, wills, and everything that would guarantee that Venice and Rome will be able to live comfortably even in our absence.
We've spent as much time as we could with them and our family, cherishing every moment.
"They're going to cry so much." I mumbled, thinking about the state they're going to be in when it happens.
"Yeah. Hopefully, the videos and notes will help." He muttered as he pressed his head against mine.
I hummed.
It's definitely going to be bloody.
With the way our world is, our deaths are definitely not going to be peaceful or easy.
Thank goodness, those two are not attending.
They won't have to witness it first hand.
"I don't have any regrets. I've lived the happiest life I could dream of. With you, with our sons, and our family." I squeezed his hands in mine, rubbing his ring lightly.
"Me too. Being with you and our sons made my life much brighter and happier than I could have ever imagined." He kissed my neck gently as he intertwined our fingers together.
"I'm not passing my magic to them." I added firmly.
He looked at me through the mirror.
"Having this power brings a burden of being selfless with it. It brings expectations of helping in every situation, whether you want to or not. I won't pass this burden onto them. I want them to live for themselves and live their best lives. Not weighed down by these kinds of burdens and expectations." I explained.
He nodded in understanding. "I agree."
I looked down at the dresser when my phone started ringing.
It was Kinn.
"I guess we should get going." I straightened up.
He nodded.

.
Venice and Rome were lounging on the couch, watching Iron man 2 when we went downstairs.I couldn't help but smile at the familiar scene.
We went up to them from behind and kissed their heads, surprising them.
