Vegas's pov:

I took deep breaths trying to keep myself from panicking as I slowly made my way out of the bedroom, cradling my belly with one hand and using the other as support against the wall.

I could feel the wetness very quickly seeping down through my pants.

I had to stop and grit my teeth as another cramp bore down on me, making me want to double down.

Fuck...

My legs were shaking slightly and I was surprised I was still standing even.

I had to force myself to breathe through the pain.

I opened the bedroom door and stepped out when the cramp passed.

Kim was talking on the phone to someone in front of the couch.

He stopped when he noticed me.

His gaze flicked down, eyes widening when he saw my legs.

"I need to go." He muttered into the phone before throwing it to the side and running to me.

"Vegas, you..." He wrapped his arms around me, supporting my weight.

I nodded as I held onto him. "It broke a few minutes ago. Cramps are already coming fast."

"Big! Nop!" He called out.

Immediately, rushed footsteps could be heard.

"Big, prepare the car. We need to go to the medical wing right now. Nop, gather the bag we prepared. It will be in the closet in the left most side. And a few snacks and drinks and follow as well. And call Beam to tell him we're on our way." He instructed quickly.

He gently tugged me with him as I could hear the other two rushing to follow his orders.

I clenched my eyes shut and whimpered as another painful cramp bore down on me, making me claw at Kim's shirt.

He pulled me close and whispered reassuring words into my ear.

"We're almost there. Just a little longer. It's going to be ok."

It helped that he was rubbing my belly gently the whole time.

I could feel them moving around inside me and it made me a bit nauseous.

"How close are the cramps?" Beam asked after helping me lay down on the bed.

"Ten minutes." I answered between pants.

"Fast. Ok, we need to do a C-section since as I said before, your body is not built to deliver naturally." He spoke and I could hear nurses rushing around.

I squeezed Kim's hand in mine tightly.

"He'll be here with you the whole time, don't worry." He assured me, seemingly noticing the action.

I nodded gratefully, leaning into Kim's palm as he combed back my sweaty hair before kissing my forehead.

"You're doing so well, love. Just a little longer, hm?"

I hummed softly.

I blinked up at the ceiling when we were in the OR.

There was a barrier that kept me from being able to see what they were seeing. And I couldn't feel anything because of the anesthesia.

Kim was sitting beside me, still holding my hand.

"Are they ok?" I asked softly.

"They're cutting right now." Kim answered.

Ohh.

"We don't see anything worrisome. Your vitals seem good and the ultrasound also looks good." Beam also answered.
