Having surpassed the torment of high school, the Kim siblings stepped into the new chapter of their lives – the university.

As anticipated, Taehi chose business studies as her major, while Taehyung pursued art—the singular source of his happiness throughout these years.

Upon Taehi declaring her major, pride resonated among their grandparents, while Taehyung, announcing his choice, found solace in his mother's appreciation alone.

But To Taehyung, his mother's words of appreciation seemed more like words of sympathy than genuine acknowledgment.

Nowadays, Taehyung ceased acknowledging them as his family, feeling that his own blood had turned a blind eye to his existence And Others were engrossed in shaping the perfect heir, they left him as the overlooked "shadow." His mother, even if it was out of pity, remained the only person he considered family—the one who at least acknowledged the flawed shadow within the family.

In the midst of their university years, Taehyung found himself grappling with a new situation. He began experiencing attraction towards the same gender, adding another layer of complexity to his life. Faced with this dilemma, he questioned if he could ever be considered normal, feeling burdened not only by his physical challenges but also by the perceived notion of being mentally abnormal.

( The Korea in this story is not a homophobic country. But assholes are present).

Discovering that Jimin shared similar feelings provided Taehyung with a sense of normalcy. Despite his initial reluctance to discuss this with his family, Jimin encouraged him to open up to his mother, emphasizing that this time was crucial for parental support and understanding.

One evening, Taehyung gathered the courage to talk to his mother.

Taehyung: "Mama..."
Mrs. Kim: "Yes, Taetae?"

Nervously fidgeting with his fingers, Taehyung hesitated before his mother. Mrs. Kim, sensing something amiss, knelt down before him, asking softly:

Mrs. Kim: "Is there anything wrong?"

Taehyung, glistening eyes reflecting his vulnerability, stuttered, "Mama, I like boys."

Mrs. Kim was stunned. After a few moments of silence, she took a deep breath and gently asked:

Mrs. Kim: "Are you sure, baby?"

Taehyung slowly nodded, tears streaming down his face.

Mrs. Kim: "Then we have to accept it."

Taehyung apologized, saying, "I am sorry, Mama."

Mrs. Kim reassured him, saying, "It's fine. We accept you."

Yet, Taehyung couldn't escape the looks of pity in his mother's eyes. He gazed at her silently, not uttering a word, and eventually walked away, enveloped in his thoughts.

. Word about Taehyung's preference didn't take long to circulate within the family. While his grandparents chose to avoid the topic altogether without objections, his mother expressed her acceptance through a subtle smile during their eye contact. And about tahee.........
One day, Taehyung noticed her staring at him, her gaze fixed upon him with a mix of emotions that lingered in the unspoken space between them , but he just refused to acknowledge her presence.

Years of humiliation had swollen his sensitive mind, leading him to view her as an enemy, attributing many of his teenage nightmares to her. He couldn't shake the jealousy he felt toward the seemingly perfect life she led, contrasting with his role as the overlooked shadow, confined to a life without acknowledgment.

Recently, one of mr. Kim's childhood friends arrived to reconnect with his family. Having spent years abroad, they decided to settle back in their hometown. Opting to live in the same neighborhood as the Kims, they sought familiarity in this new country. Their only son, the same age as Taehyung, proved to be a friendly and humble presence in their lives.. Opting for continuity and shared experiences, they made the decision for their son to attend the same university as Taehyung, fostering a sense of companionship.

One day Taehyung was walking alone with a stoic face, when....
The boy shouted in excitement " taetae!!!! Let's go to the together beautiful" .The unexpected enthusiasm brought a touch of liveliness to the otherwise solitary journey.
