chapter 13: Despondency

Bad luck

Very bad luck

Then comes my luck.

To summarise my day in a nutshell ...
First i fucked up my examination ,my friend tried to kill us by her exceptional driving skills (ps- she was taking an uturn in an one way road)
I also fucked up my practicals ...then got lost in an unknown location......
So please don't blame me for the delay... I am sorry 😔🙏

Taehyung and hobi came from their University trip.
As they settled back, they realized that they were stepping into a web of secrets and rumors..

Their families were always wrapped up in a flurry of gossip and the increased surge in the frequency of visits from Hobi's parents.

Mrs kim :" taetae can i come baby?"

She asked coming towards taehyung 's room.

Taehyung:" huh...ma why are you asking???...come."

Mrs.kim came inside and sat beside the bed .

Mrs. Kim :" taetae you Know... You are turning 23 this year.. "

Taehyung :" haa.." ( he spoke confused)

Mrs.kim smiled and spoke "so baby we have decided that it's time to find someone for yourself... "

Taehyung:" huh!!??"

Mrs.kim:" we want you to settle down baby..."

Taehyung:" but why so suddenly"

Mrs.kim:" huh...you are turning 23 in some months...so it's the perfect age to settle down baby..."

Taehyung looked at his mother and spoke hesitantly .

Taehyung:" ma ... You know right i can't marry someone....... like I am not normal...I can't marry a girl  ".

Mrs.kim:" oh ....yea baby we know ...even i am not forcing you to marry a girl...we want you to settle with someone you know dearly".

Taehyung:" huh...who"..

Mrs.kim:" hobi...."

Taehyung:" huh ...maaa what are you talking about...me hobi...ma we are best friends....who can you...!!!"

(He shouted being embarrassed)

Mrs.kim:" huh...best friend....whom you kissed??"

Mrs.kim:" I had seen you kissing him while coming back"...

Taehyung:" ma...it was a dare....."

He spoke with flushed cheeks

Mrs.kim:" do you not love him...in my experience...i don't think any one would be as perfect as hobi.....he even understands you perfectly...I have seen you being so disturbed if he is absent for a day...."

Mrs kim:" baby listen to me .........hobi is best for you......even you know that.......he never judged you never made you feel lonely right...we were so tensed about you...but he made you so so happy........if you marry him... I believe it would be you happily ever after..."

Taehyung pondered for a moment. It was true that if anyone else were to marry him, they might not love him wholeheartedly, and he would likely be judged for his disability. But he believed that if it were Hobi, it would be his happily ever after.

Mrs.kim:" so what do you say taetae,?".

Taehyung:" ma..have you asked hobi?"

Mrs. Kim : "Don't worry, baby. Mina told me that she would talk to Hobi. She even mentioned that Hobi is always talking about you, Taehyung."

Taehyung looked down smiling and spoke slowly .

Taehyung :" ma..I am not sure ..I love hobi or not...but i think i would be happy to be married to him".

Hearing the answer Mrs.kim smilled and hugged him " so proud of you baby".

Hobi's house:-

Mrs.jung:" hoba.....can i come baby"

Hobi :" huh....my god ..what happened....owner of this house taking permission??" He teased

Mrs.jung: " oh..shut up..i don't need  anyone's permission...you peasants!! "

Saying so, she entered, puffing her chest with her head held high.

Mrs.jung:" jokes aside...i want to tell you something"

Sensing her seriousness hobi sat down in front of her..and hold her hands ... urging her to continue.

Mrs.jung smiled at the gesture and continued

Mrs.jung: " baby.....you are turning 24 this year.....and you are becoming old..so I think you should settle down"

Hobi:" maa ... You can't age shame me...and how can I marry ...I am just a little 23 year baby "

Mrs.Jung:" yeah...an overgrown baby"

Hobi flashed a wide smile, revealing all 32 of his teeth.

Mrs .Jung:" shut up... listen.....mrs.kim and i were talking..we observed some deep connection between you and someone....."

Listening to her hobi looked down blushing.

Mrs.jung cough a bit.

Mrs.jung:" humkum....you were really obvious...so we have decided to settle you both down"

Hobi blushed hard and hide himself in his mother's arms.

Mrs.jung:" so we were correct?"

Hobi:" ma ... We are young ... I don't want to pressure Kim's"

Mrs .Jung:" don't worry baby..we talked to Kims about you
engagement,"

Hobi:" woah..you are fast ma.."

That day, both of them drifted off to sleep with different yet content emotions. One pondered the uncertainties of emotions in his near future, while the other struggled to pinpoint the source of the complex array of feelings within him..
