Taehyung:" shut up hobi!"

Despite his seemingly stern expression, Taehyung's red cheeks betrayed a different emotion, adding a touch of warmth to his demeanor as he interacted with his enthusiastic companion.

He spoke, scratching his head, a light laugh escaping him, adding an air of ease to the moment.

Taehyung: "it's fine."

They began walking in silence, and after a while, Hobi spoke, breaking the quiet atmosphere.

Hobi:" taetae where is taehee?.. you both don't go together????"

Taehyung looked at him for a moment, ...

"Hobi," Taehyung began, "Taehi has a different major, so we don't have the same classes. We usually head to the university separately."

Taehyung spoke coldly. While the explanation about the separate paths of the siblings seemed reasonable, the tone hinted at deeper issues. Sensing this, Hobi chose not to delve further, respecting the unspoken boundaries surrounding Taehyung's family matters.

In front of the gate of school:-

Hobi spoke, "So, see you later. Hope you have a good day, Taetae," the enthusiasm evident in his voice. Taehyung merely hummed in response, but a slight curve appeared in the corner of his lips, hinting at a subtle acknowledgment.

The rest of the day proceeded in the usual manner, with Taehyung maintaining a quiet demeanor throughout the entire class. His face remained devoid of emotions, concealing any internal struggles he may have been experiencing.

During lunchtime, Jimin joined Taehyung, chattering about his day, when Hobi arrived.

Hobi: "Hey, Taetae!"

His shout captured everyone's attention, as it was a rare moment for Taehyung to be directly addressed. Startled gazes turned towards them, but Hobi continued:

Hobi: "Hey... Can I sit?"

Jimin questioned, "You are?"

Hobi: "I'm Taetae's neighbor and his friend," he replied with his signature smile.

The rest of the time was spent with Hobi and Jimin chatting, with Taehyung occasionally providing one-word answers. Hobi was delighted that Taehyung seemed to be slowly embracing socializing, while Jimin was happy that Taehyung had found a new friend. The positive vibes from Hobi gave Jimin hope that he could fill the void that Taehyung had been facing without close companions.

Taehyung, ready to head home, walked in silence until a sudden shout startled him.

Hobi: "Hey, Taetae! Wait."

Jogging towards him, Hobi suggested, "Let's go together."

Taehyung didn't speak a word, just nodded in agreement. They began walking towards their homes, with Hobi discussing different painting styles that interested Taehyung. Engaging in the conversation, Taehyung listened attentively and even shared his thoughts. It was a pleasant time for him talking to Hobi.

Upon reaching the front of the Kim's house, Hobi greeted Mrs. Kim and turned to Taehyung, saying, "See you tomorrow, Taetae." With that, he ran to his own house.

Taehyung gazed at Hobi's retreating figure for a moment. Mrs. Kim noticed his distraction and called him. Absorbed in his own thoughts, Taehyung didn't respond until she shook him by the shoulder. Startled, he spoke, "Huh... What?"

Mrs. Kim reassured him, "Hobi will meet you again tomorrow, Taetae. Don't worry. Now go eat; the food is on the table, baby." She spoke with a playful smile.

Understanding his mother's teasing, Taehyung felt a bit embarrassed and walked away from the situation.

Mrs. Kim felt joy seeing the positive interaction between Taehyung and Hobi. Hobi proved to be just as Mrs. Jung had described – a ball of sunshine who could befriend even the coldest person. In her thoughts, Mrs. Kim acknowledged that Taehyung was alone as Taehi was away due to her studies. The realization of his solitude lingered in her mind, prompting a sense of concern for her son.But Mrs. Jung's assurance about Hobi's friendly nature seemed to hold true, bringing comfort to Mrs. Kim regarding Taehyung's social connections.

Taehyung was writing about the whole day's events.

Taehyung pov:-

Hobi is good.Today He walked with me at my own pace. For the first time, someone other than Jimin didn't complain about my slow pace or show me sympathy about my disability. I feel like I have a good friend who shares similar thoughts. Jimin also told me that he is good. Hope this budding friendship lasts....

With that thought, Taehyung sighed, setting aside his diary, and prepared to sleep.
