Chapter twenty three

Hyunjin pov

Beep. Beep. Beep.

My eyes try opening but are heavy, as I continue to look around for the sound I am brought to an all white room, monitors to my left and right. I look down and see the cuts and bruises on my arms, an IV hanging from my left arm, and a boy sitting down at the side of my bed. I shift under the blankets and pain rings through my body. I look down and notice my leg and ankle in a brace. The boy next to me shifts and brings his head up, it's Chan.

I can tell hes been crying, his eyes blood shot with dried up tears on his cheeks. "Hyunjin" he says quietly sitting down next to me and grabbing my hand. "Chan" I say back shutting my eyes hard trying to remember what happened. "Are you okay, do you need anything" he questions as he gives my hand a light squeeze.

"Water" I force out, now just realizing how harsh my throat is. Chan gets up and brings a cup with a straw over to my lips. Drinking down the cold liquid it feels so good on my hoarse throat. He takes the cup away as I start to remember what had happened.

Maxi, Felix, Felix is hurt, "Where is Felix" I say as I start to panic. Chan comes back over to me and tries to calm me down as he says "Felix is fine, a couple bruised ribs but hes fine Hyunjin". Chan brings his hand up to my head and brushes my bangs behind my ear.

I start relaxing, knowing my angel is safe. "Can I see him Chan" I ask, he nods and says "Yes, let me go get the doctors". Chan exits the room for a moment before I hear the rolling of a wheel chair, my gaze shifts to the door as I watch Chan roll Felix. His face was bruised, a single line of stitches run along his left eyebrow, his top lip has a small cut on it, and his chest is wrapped up.

But then I notice his smile. His eyes begin to widen at the sight of me, Chan rolls Felix right next to me as I try to move to embrace the beaten boy but my body stops me, pain shooting up and down my back. Felix looking concerned gets up slowly from his wheel chair, holding his torso he softly sits on the bed next to me before leaning down and embracing me in a light hug. I wrap my hands around him and try not to hurt him as I hug him back.

Hearing him start sniffling I leave the hug and bring my hands to his face, looking deep into those brown wet eyes I watch as a tear escapes them. Brushing off the tear with my thumb I bring his face closer to mine and we kiss. It was soft, I didn't want to hurt his lip with the cut, he kisses me back almost instantly. Pulling away Chan makes a coughing noise as he realizes someone else walking into the room.

Our manager makes his way in, Felix shifts in the bed still sitting next to me he turns to the man and bows slightly still not able to move properly. Our manager bows back and begins "Boys, I am more than happy to see both of you awake and safe. I am so sorry that this has happened to you but rest assured Raymond or I guess Maxi has been taken care of". Felix grabs my hand at the reference to our kidnapper. Our managers face shifts down to our hands and continues "since this has all escalated and both of you are injured we feel its best that the group stays here back at the house until you both have recovered enough to travel".

I perk up, trying no to allow my smile to push through to my face. "Now Felix I'd like to speak to Hyunjin and Chan alone please" he says moving to the side. I look back up to Felix and nod before bringing his hand up to my lips and kiss them softly. Felix gets up and Chan helps him back to the wheel chair as he gets rolled out of the room.

"Now Hyunjin" the manager begins "its come to my attention that this stalker was originally after you, is that correct" he asks. I nod my head and say "yes, Maxi and I use to be friends before I became a trainee but I was invited and he wasn't. He felt slighted when I accepted the job". He nods his head as writes down my statement in a notebook. "Well I am very sorry this has happened to you, again I am wishing you a full and healthy recovery" he states before shutting the notebook and begins to make his way out of the room. "Oh and Hyunjin" he says before stopping in the doorway looking back at me "you and Felix need to get some rest so please no unnecessary activity from the two of you. Chan let me know what has been going on and although we are not happy about Chan is very adamant about the two of you. But if this gets out to the public too early we can not control the consequences".

My heart stops as I nod my head, "Don't worry sir we will behave ourselves and when we get back maybe we can figure out a plan" I say hopefully. He nods his head and leaves the room. I feel a huge weight lift from my chest. Management knows and they aren't stopping us. My eyes start to leak with tears, Chan runs to my side worried I was in pain he says "Hyunjin whats wrong, what hurts" he asks looking over my body for the source of my tears.

"Nothing, nothing is wrong Chan" I say as I continue to cry "thank you so much Channie". I reach over and grab his hand with mine. "I told you guys I would help you fight this battle" Chan says looking down at me.

I start to feel very tired, my eyes begin to shut as thoughts run through my head of Felix and I finally being happy together.

Felix and I were released from the hospital the next day, my ankle was infact broken from the fall I endured. Felix has to be immoble until his ribs heal from the impact he received as well.

Chan pulls up to the house and helps both of us out of the vehicle, putting Felix into a wheel chair and grabbing my crutches from the back we begin to make our way into the house on the hill. Management installed a ramp for Felix to use until he no longer needed the wheel chair. Pushing open the door a huge banner hangs from the banister "Welcome home" it spells out in glittery collorful letters. The others under the the banner screaming as we make our way in.

Felix and I smile as we continue in and the boys come up and give us all soft hugs as to not hurt us anymore than we already are. We shuffle into the living room and Minho pipes up, "Look we turned the living room into your recovery suite" arms out as we look. The couch was now replaced with a large soft bed, nightstands next to them filled with flowers and get well soon cards. There was even a bed pan laying next to the bed, bringing our attention to it Han says "that was my idea" he smiles. The rest of us begin to laugh at the nice thought.

"If we are in the living room where will you guys hang out" Felix says rolling himself over to the bed. Seungmin responds "Oh we will be in the bed with you, this was a gift for all of us" as he helps Felix get onto the bed. Laughing I limp my way over to sit on the other side next to Felix. I.N. comes over and helps lift my legs onto the bed as I lay down on the new soft covers.

"Now no funny business when we are all home, you got it" Changbin yells as he sits in Felix's wheel chair rolling it back and forth. "Are you guys hungry" Chan ask pushing Changbin into the kitchen. "Starving" Felix pipes up, Seungmin pushes Felix over in the bed and lays down next to him turning on to TV and playing music.

Chan and Changbin begin making us all food as the others gather around the bed and start their own conversations. My thoughts lift me to another place, although I am extremely happy Felix and I are both safe I couldn't help but feel a bit guilty about Maxis situation. I didn't mean for our friendship to end the way it did, I didn't get the call on purpose, but why do I feel so guilty?

I feel a hand slide next to mine bringing me out of my thoughts, looking over at Felix my heart stops. "Are you okay Hyun" he asks quietly drawing circles on my hand. "I am perfectly fine my love" I say back as I lean down and place a kiss on his nose.

"Hey what did I say about funny business" Changbin screams from the kitchen and pointing at us. Laughing Felix lays his head down on my shoulder being extra careful with my still sore body
