Chapter Twenty Seven

Hyunjins POV

I stare up at Maxi, the rain washing down my face as the wind picks up and a huge clap of thunder is heard behind me. Taken back from his presence I try to stand but fall onto my back as the pain in my ankle is unbearable now. He steps towards me, every step he makes I crawl backwards away from him. I feel his hand come down and grab my collar, bringing me inches away from his face. "You'll never get rid of me" he hisses before another huge strike of lightening makes its way into the forrest, I feel myself sink into the ground and my eyes shut. Unable to move or open my eyes I just laid there, hoping and praying he would leave.

Felixs POV

My alarm goes off next to me, pulling me out of my dreams. Rolling over looking for the warm body of my boyfriend I am left with nothing but an empty bed. Getting up and looking around the room I see the balcony doors wide open, my heart sinks. Jumping out of the bed I run to the balcony looking over it for any sign of Hyunjin. Scanning the yard I see footprints leading into the woods.

I run to the room next to me and burst in, Chan jumps alive from his bed and looks at me "What the fuck Felix what is wrong" he screams out looking at his phone for the time. "Hyunjin is gone" I yell back at him, his eyes widen as he jumps up and runs out of the room with me. Screaming as I wake the other boys I bolt downstairs and out the back door. Spinning in a circle my eyes land on the footprints I saw from above.

Chan follows me outside as I run into the woods, jumping over the fallen trees and wet leaves. I can hear the other boys running behind me, my eyes searching at the ground for more trails of the footprints. Stopping I look around at the now calm forrest, "Hyunjin" I scream out as it echos through the trees.

The other boys finally catch up to me, all of us panting and looking around for any sign of life. Just then I see it, a foot laying on the ground, hidden around the base of a tree. "There" I say as I sprint over to him, running around the tree I see the most broken scene of my life. Hyunjin lies there, soaking wet in his pajamas, shivering and shaking from the cold morning air. His one leg brought to his chest as the other one was sprawled out.

Dropping to my knees I pick up the wet boy, bringing him close to my chest as I try to warm him up. He begins fighting me against my chest, like he didn't know who was grabbing him. "Shh shh Hyunjin its me you're okay" I coo into his ear, hardening my arms as I hold him tighter to me. He finally stopped thrashing around, the other boys just watch in silence unsure of what to do. Chan takes Hyunjin from my arms and picks him up, "We need to get him back to the house right now" he states "Binnie call the police and call management, let them know whats going on".

We rush back through the woods finally making it back to the house, Chan puts Hyunjin down on the couch and grabs as many blankets as he can and starts placing them down on his still shaking body. I make my way over to Hyunjin, sitting on the floor next to him, I start running my hands up and down the blankets trying to create enough friction to warm him faster.

Hearing the knocking on the door, Seungmin runs over and lets the police and paramedics in as they all rush over to Hyunjin. One of them pushes me away from him, I try to force myself back to him but I.N. grabs me and pulls me away from the scene.

I grab onto him as I bury my face into his chest and start sobbing. What happened to my Hyunjin, he was out there all night in the rain and storm. I.N. tries to soothe me as I feel his hand rubbing up and down my back. "Shh Felix, they are here to help him" he says quietly holding my tighter. Turning around I watch as the paramedics pick up Hyunjins limp body and swiftly take him outside to the back of the ambulance.

I run out and jump into the back as one of them asks "Sir are you family". Nodding my head I think of a quick response, I manage to get out "hes my husband", they nod back at me and being to hook him up to machines and IVs. Sitting down next to him I grab his one hand and hold it tight. He still hasn't been able to open his eyes or talk. I feel the ambulance start to shake as we rush to the nearest hospital. Getting Hyunjin out on the stretcher they rush him inside, I run next to him, his hand still in mine before I feel a pair of arms grab me pulling me away. Spinning around I see Chan, he grabs me engulfing me in his strong arms. "Let them work Felix" he says lightly into my ear.

Turning my head over I watch as the continue running Hyunjin down the hallway before making a sharp turn and hes out of my vision. Chan pulls me in closer as I bury my head into his chest and start to sob. The sobbing turns into crying hard as I feel my legs start to shake under me, losing function of them I fall to the floor.  Chan still wrapped around me as I sink, sitting down he pulls me into his lap and rocks me back and forth. The only thing on my mind was Hyunjin.

Please be okay.

Hyunjins POV

I wake up to a familiar sound of machines beeping next to me, opening my eyes for a moment letting them adjust to the lights. Looking around the room I start taking note of every small detail, the stock pictures that hung on the walls, the empty chairs next to me, the line coming from the bend of my arm into a bag of liquid, and the silence except for the beep of the monitors. Sitting up I wince in pain, looking down at my hands noticing they are all cut up, one even with a small stitch thrown into it.

I listen to the beeping of the monitor, matching my breathing with the pace of the sound. I was taken out of the breathing exercise as I hear a knock on the door, a doctor comes in holding my chart in his hands. "Well hello Hyunjin, very nice to see you awake" he smiles at me coming over and placing his stethoscope onto my chest. I stayed silent, words not able to be formed from my brain at the moment.

"How are you feeling" he asks as he grabs my hands looking over the cuts and stitches for anything wrong. Nodding my head I try to speak but unable to do so, so I give him a thumbs up. Looking back at me he says "You gave us quite the scare when you came in, I am glad to see you awake finally" he continues as he grabs the clipboard writing something down "are you up for visitors, you have a few people asking to come see you". I nod my head as he leaves the room.

The door swings open and I see the boys pile into the room, my eyes scan for the blonde hair before falling on him, he walks in last behind everyone else. Felix makes his way over to my side, grabbing my hand and looking at me. I can tell hes been crying, his eyes are red, his cheeks cracked with dried tears. I lightly smile at him as the other make there way around my bed.

Minho comes over sitting down on the end of the bed, placing his hand on my leg gently he asks "How you feeling Hyun". I smile through the thoughts and just nod my head. Felix sits in the bed next to me as I move over. "What were you doing out in the woods" Han asks hanging over Changbins shoulder. I.N. hits him on the arm telling him to shut up. Looking confused at all of them I just shrug my shoulders.

"Can you give us the room for a minute guys" Chan asks, the boys nod and make their way out. Felix stays by my side the whole time. Chan sits down where Minho was just at before, putting his hand gently resting on my leg. "What happened Hyunjin" Chan asks me very sternly. I open my mouth but nothing comes out, just a little squeak from my throat. I grab my neck and clear my throat as I try to say the words in my mind but nothing escapes my mouth. Chan and Felix look at each other, both of their faces read across as concerned. "Can you talk to us baby" Felix asks as he wraps his arm around my shoulder giving my arm a squeeze.

Looking at him I try again to explain last night but nothing comes out. Tears begin to form in my eyes as I feel Felix hug onto me tighter. I wanted to tell them, I wanted to say how I ran into the woods chasing a man whos thousands of miles away, but nothing came out of my mouth. Both of them start freaking out, not knowing why I wasn't able to speak. Chan quickly gets up and calls for a doctor. I watch as he explains to him what was going on.

The doctor comes over to me and felix gets up from the bed, he motions for me to open my mouth and stick out my tongue, looking into my mouth he says "his vocal cords look fine to me". Letting me close my mouth he continues "sometimes when someone has been through something traumatic they can turn mute unintentionally". I watch as tears start rolling down Felixs cheeks, I open my arms to him and runs to them. Wrapping him around my arms I feel his soft sobs in my chest. Chan thanks the doctor and asks for any recommendations going forward.

Helping me walk out of the hospital the boys and I pile into our cars and head back to the house. Once we pull up Chan turns around and says "management still thinks the best option is to head home, we missed our flight the other day so the next one out is in a couple hours. I am just going to run in and grab the rest of your stuff, I'll be right back". Siting back in my seat Felix places his hand on my leg, looking up at him he says "don't worry Hyunjin, you will get your voice back". He smiles at me, I return the smile back and open my mouth but again no words come out.
