AURORA DANIELS

WARNING MATURE SCENES!!!!

♡♡♡♡

Two weeks had passed since the incident. Who knew that I got stabbed? I mean anything is a possibility, but getting stabbed in the shoulder, in a new country? I didn't expect that. Especially since they looked like people typically bad guys that you'd see on TV.

Almost cartoon-like bad guys.

I was recovering at Soren's home. Mostly because he wouldn't let me out of his sight. According to him, it was his solemn duty to make sure I was okay because I got hurt because of him. Though they were attacking him too, I seemed to have been a target regardless of Soren's presence.

My arm was healing well, and I had been working from home to avoid any unnecessary strain. Soren had been incredibly supportive and attentive during this time, literally being at my beck and call more than usual. I had to practically scream at him to leave the house.

He was sweet. I never pictured myself to be in the position that I was. Having someone who was the leader of the mafia, giving me foot massages and feeding me yoghurt with a small teaspoon. I could definitely get used to the princess treatment. However, there were times when I felt I was taking advantage of him.

These last two weeks, he bought me whatever I wanted to eat, bought me fluffy blankets because I preferred them, and bought me my medication and ointments on top of paying for all my consultations. It was ridiculous. I tried to pay for our food once and this man quite literally pushed me out of the way. Albeit he felt bad after, but did he let me pay? No. Dumbass.

I sat on the couch, wrapped up in a toasty black blanket, watching the vampire diaries, because why not? Definitely a show worth rewatching.

If you're seeing this, this is your sign to rewatch the vampire diaries.

Soren came home carrying bags of delicious-smelling Korean food. My mouth watered at the aroma of spicy kimchi, savoury bulgogi, and warm, fluffy rice. He set the bags down on the table and grinned at me.

"I thought you could use a little treat tonight," he said, winking before sauntering over to me to place the delicious food on the coffee table.

I smiled back at him, grateful for his thoughtfulness. "This smells amazing, Thank you."

Soren sat on the couch, he lifted my legs to place them across his lap.

He asked how I was feeling for the millionth time. I assured him that my arm was much better than what it was and I was able to move it without wincing in pain. I demonstrated so, by swinging my arm. He smiled at me and leaned forward to kiss my lips. "I'm happy to hear that, Amore."

Suddenly, Soren fell silent as he gazed at the gauze taped to my shoulder. The smile from his gorgeous lips fell into a tight frown. "Amore." His voice was low as he reached to my lap to link our fingers.

I looked up from my bowl of food, he grabbed my bowl placing it on the table, before adjusting himself on the couch so that he was facing me.

"I need to tell you something." He sighed, his voice was extremely hesitant. I watched as he tried to figure out the words to say to me.

Finally, he found the words to say.

Arturo Bentori.

Arturo Bentori was,  according to Soren, out to get him. He briefly mentioned an incident that took place with Arturo's son, Max. My eyes widened when Soren said that Arturo was out for revenge.
