To describe how life was going, there weren't any words to tell you how happy I was. That for the first time in a long time I was at peace.

I wasn't on edge, or looking over my shoulder. I was at peace.  And for the first time in a long time, I was willing to share my happiness and my peace with someone else.

After years of being terrorized and harassed by Arturo Bentori - he was finally gone, and I couldn't have done it without her.

When I first met her, she had always been feisty — but never confident.  Now? She'd mouth off and fight anyone that tries her and I'd like to think it was because of me, but I know it's all her.

If anything she had changed me for the better.  Albeit I had my days where my attitude would get the better of me, all I needed was to have her near me and all my troubles would wash away.  I've turned into a walking fucking cliche because of her and to be quite honest,  I wasn't complaining.

I sat in my office, tapping my pen relentlessly as I tried to come up with some sort of solution that would protect Aurora,  and give her the life that she deserved.

I had recently purchased land in the States. I wanted to move Aurora back home and away from the drama of the mafia.  It was closer to the person she loved most on earth.

The production of my new hotel.

The 'Rora Del Coure', which meant Rora of the Heart,  because she was my heart. Its entirety was a testament to my love for her.

My office door creaked open ever so slightly and a puffy-haired cutie caught my attention.  She strolled in, wearing a crisp and large white shirt with black leggings and those toe-killing heels that I hated. Every time she wore those heels,  I'd have to carry her because she couldn't walk. But fuck those heels made her legs look delicious.

I bought her a pair of flats that she could use when her feet were sore, they were left in my car, but she said that changing shoes would ruin her look.

But nevertheless,  she looked gorgeous.

"Is that my shirt?" I questioned as she innocently walked over to me.

I moved away from my desk slightly,  giving Aurora room to take a seat on my lap. My arms wrapped around her waist.

"It looks better on me," she smiled, she was right, my clothes did look better on her.

Usually, when I buy clothes for myself, I go for plain and neutral, yet now I find myself buying T-shirts that Aurora would wear.

"What're you working on?" She asked, peering down at my desk, which was cluttered with floor plans, invoices and receipts.

"It's new hotel floor plans," I said, trying to keep some sort of element of surprise.

Her fingers grazed over the large plan of the table. I watched as she scrutinised the floor plans, her eyebrows scrunching together in the cutest way.  She knew about the hotel, but I kept the name a secret. She also didn't know

My heart swelled, soon I was going to make her mine forever.  I had phoned her grandfather to ask him for permission for her hand in marriage.

"Hey Al, it's Soren,"

"Soren my boy, how have you been, how's my sunshine doing?"

"She's great, she's currently preparing to go back to school," I spoke, Aurora had finally mustered up the courage to apply for her Bachelor of Education, and I couldn't have been more proud of her.
