AURORA DANIELS

With Soren being busy the last few days. I took this time to look into a few courses to help me become a teacher.
I had been looking at local colleges that specialized in education. I had enough money saved to pay for my course, but to be quite honest with you, I was scared.
I was scared of starting all over again. I had been so secluded from everything. I haven't even been able to see my friend Adrienne all that much. Ever since my encounter with my cousin's boyfriend, I took the liberty of trying my utmost best to refrain from trusting annoying, or even interacting with anyone.
Safe to say that my cousin and her boyfriend had traumatized me to the point of no return.
I haven't heard from them, which although a good sign, still kept me on edge as I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
As I scrolled mindlessly on my laptop, I heard the gate intercom sound through the house. I waddled my way into the kitchen to peek at the cameras. It was Giovanni.
Giovanni and I had grown close over the last few months. He was my designated chauffeur as per Soren. Giovanni was sent to make sure that I was okay, and well taken care of when Soren wasn't around.
Gio would drive me to the grocery store, and the mall, he'd even help push the shopping cart and pay for everything - with Soren's money.
He'd also occasionally take me to their shooting range every Thursday when Soren wasn't available, for gun training. I wasn't as scared as I used to be and I was much more confident in myself.
I buzzed Giovanni in and watched the familiar silver jaguar pull up in the driveway.
"Pantera," He greeted as he walked through the doors with a large white box and satin black bow.
He gently placed it on the counter and moved over to me to kiss both my cheeks. A cultural exchange that I had grown accustomed to.
"What's this?" I asked, pulling out the high chair by the counter.
"Your dress for the birthday," Gio responded, urging me to open the box.
I instantly reached for the box, pulling it towards me to undo the bow.
The black tissue paper was neatly wrapped and stuck together with those wax seals to hold it together.
I gently undid the seal to reveal a stunning black dress, with a deep v-cut at the front. I pulled the dress out of the box, holding it high in the air to reveal the dress's full length.
It was a floor-length dress, with an extremely high slit, and boning around the torso area.
The dress was gorgeous and better than anything I could've picked out. It was simple and flashy all at once.
"Soren picked a killer dress," Gio said, rounding the counter to admire the dress with me.
He chuckled to himself and I sent him a confused look, my right eyebrow-raising in the process.
