Phoebe had woken early and she found Daryl on the porch fiddling with his crossbow "Good morning"
"Mornin'" he lowered the bow taking her in.
"How did you sleep?"
"Fine, it's quiet here. You were tossin' and turnin' last night" he watched as she tilted her head and smiled at him, her curls tumbling over her shoulder.
"I slept okay Dare just like you said it's quiet" moving forward she sat next to him and leant against him soaking in his heat, Phoebe turned when she heard him chuckle "What now?"
"You're always so cold" he rested his arm over her shoulder and she closed her eyes when she was immediately placed into his heated hold.
"No you're always so hot" she smirked up at him when his cheeks flushed and she hummed reaching up she ran her knuckles against the heated skin there.
They both turned hearing the door open and Carol walked out "Time to punch the clock and make casseroles" she beamed, she was dressed smartly in a pale yellow button up with a light blue cardigan paired with her dark grey trousers.
"What?" Daryl frowned taking the woman in.
"Make dinner for the old people, moms who need a break and people who can't cook...Get to meet a lot of the neighbours that way" Carol answered and Phoebe smirked when Daryl scoffed.
"Our girl here is playing the long game, which while i admire Carol how long are you going to hold this up?" Phoebe asked.
"As long as i need to, have you had a shower yet?" Carol directed the last part to Daryl even though the answer is obvious but Daryl lied and nodded.
"Take a shower. I'm going to wash that vest, we need to keep up appearances, even you" Carol narrowed her eyes and started walking down the steps.
"Hey i ain't starting now" Daryl frowned and picked up his crossbow once more.
"I'm gonna hose you down in your sleep" Carol warned and Phoebe chuckled.
"Can i be present? I always wanted to see a wet t-shirt contest" she joked and Carol winked at her before walking up the street.
"You look ridiculous" Daryl called out and Phoebe nudged him.
"I'm going to look around take note of where everyone is" she stood and kissed his cheek jogging down the steps she turned back "You should take that shower...Or don't, either way i still get to see you wet" she winked and laughed hearing his grumbles.
Phoebe walked passed a few Alexandrean people nodding her hellos she frowned when she saw Glenn, Tara and Noah heading to the gate with Nickolus and another man.
"And where are you three going?" she jogged closer.
"Hi, I'm Aiden" the un-named man stepped forward with his hand up.
"Phoebe" she shook it quickly before turning back to her group.
"We're going on a dry run with them today, they want to show us the torrain. He's Deanna's son" Glenn walked closer so her was stood beside her.
"Would you take an extra?" she turned back to Aiden who frowned.
"Erh, my mother said she's still searching for a job for you. You don't have to be out there anymore, you're safe here" his voice Phoebe guess was meant to come off soothing like he was comforting someone who was scared but instead it came off condesending.
She hummed "Sorry i just...I wanted to see you guys in action" she smiled brightly seeing his eyes light up.
"Oh! Sure, yeah! That's erh, that's a good idea. Would you feel safe with us out there" Aiden asked and Phoebe saw Glenn smirk and look at the ground beside her.
