"What's wrong?" Shae asked, looking at Kenori who wasn't conversing with her, just picking at her freshly done acrylic nails.

"Nothing, why?" Kenni raised an eyebrow, looking up at her friend.

"Nothing. You was just too quiet." Shae told her with a light shrug. She tapped her phone, reading whatever notification had came in previously. Kenori noticed how she was repeatedly checking her phone notifications and then looking out of the window that displayed the parking lot of the arcade.

Shae had talked Kenori into coming to an arcade with her. The arcade had two sections, the food court and the actual arcade. They sat in the front, at a booth, and hadn't ordered anything yet.

"Why you keep looking at your phone and then out the window? Somebody popping up or something?" Kenni asked , almost laughing at her words. Shae looked up and bit her bottom lip, "Since you said something—"

"Marshala." Kenori cut her off with a firm tone, losing the faint smile on her face.

"Kenori. Hear me out." Shae held up her hands as if she was surrendering. Kenori nodded slowly, while crossing her legs underneath the table to get comfortable."You remember last weekend at the party? The guy who bumped into you? Yeah, after you left we sort of hit it off and—"

"Ew, you had sex with him?" Kenori cut her off with her assumption. Marshala's eyes widened slowly,"What? No. Damn Kenori have faith in me and my pussy." Shae scoffed with her face scrunching up.

Marshala was one to act on her sexual needs, not that there was anything wrong with it, but that left her having five bodies so far, the body count didn't go up due to to her messing with the same guys over and over.

"Before I have faith in you and your vagina, hell will freeze over." Kenori responded immediately with a laugh following. Shae sat her phone down lightly and looked up at Kenori who had now stopped laughing.

"Your vagina lacks dick. Maybe you would be less of a bitch if you got some, remember that." Shae shortly used her index finger to mush Kenori's head.

"Kiss. My. Ass." Kenori took pauses between each word, while flipping off her best friend.

Shae and Kenni were friends since they were sixteen, they had met at a juvenile detention camp for troubled teens. While Marshala was in there for constantly fighting and giving a girl a skull fracture, Kenori was in there because her dad told her that she needed her attitude in control. Somehow they became close, which made that supposed to be depressed journey, ten times better for Kenori.

Marshala was like her other half, she understood her in ways that nobody else could. Even though Kenori was less emotional and withdrawn. Marshala on the other hand, was born to be social and was more attentive than most gave her credit for. She knew almost everything about everybody and everybody knew her and trusted her, so opposites really did attract.

"Now what about that boy?" Kenori asked, tilting her head watching Shae tap her Apple Watch before clicking on it.

"His name is Mekhi, and I met his friends."

"Of course you did." Kenori rubbed her arm up and down feeling slightly cold.

"I invited them here, with us." Shae dragged us. Kenori's eyes widened slightly making Shae giggle at Kenori's reaction. "You didn't invite him, you're joking."

"I did, him and his friends. It's like four of them, I think Mekhi, Dani, Messiah, and Nas? I think? Something." Shae waved her own words off with a shrug.
