Shae, Kenori, and Dani were in Kenori's room, helping her get ready since they were already done.
"I'm not going." Kenori spoke as she dropped her weave brush hearing Shae groan in response.
"Why not?" Shae asked, walking over and grabbing the brush, beginning to brush out the eighteen inch Ombré Honey Blonde Body Wave lace front that she had installed on Kenori a day ago.
"We usually go to your parents house." Kenori reminded her.
"My parents aren't throwing anything this year, apparently it's their baecation time. Y'all is too old for that, but they ain't want to listen to me. So we can make an appearance, and meet who raised your future boyfriend and his friends." Shae joked, making Kenori deadpan her from her view in the mirror. Shae snicked at her reaction, "Right, Right, no mentioning that."
Mekhi had invited the girls out to his mom's house for Thanksgiving. Kenori being Kenori it took everything for Shae to convince her, since of course she declined when it was brought to to her.
"Shae—"
"Come on, you know you're like the Raquelle to my Barbie, always something difficult about you, but you know like it's always a good ending." Shae made Kenori question her reference of their relationship. Dani giggled at the reference also. "And Dani is like, our Nikki."
"Whatever, girl." Kenori waved her off, adjusting her pink top. "You act as if I'm your Barbie Doll, look at what I'm wearing." Kenori examined her pink outfit set in the mirror of her dresser, that Shae chose out for her. She was going to wear something casual, and some black.
"You do look good." Dani added.
"You look good, sit on the stairs and look cute." Shae told her, grabbing her arms and pulling her out of her bedroom.
"For what?" Kenori asked as Shae rusheded to the bottom of the stairs.
"A picture, duh." Shae looked at Kenori, who instantly looked at her like she was dumb. "Shae you know I don't do pictures."
"I do, but this is the first time you're not wearing black, or wearing something just plain casual. You looking cute, girl. You always cute but this time you looking cute-cute and not just..cute." Shae tried to convince her. Kenori knew it was true, but she hated pictures, so she hesitated heavily before finally giving in.
Shae basically shrieked in excitement. Kenori's phone started vibrating in her purse, making her take it out. Her phone was always on silent mode.
"What are you doing?" Shae lowered her phone.
"Nasir calling." Kenori informed her, she made her way down the stairs as the FaceTime call connected. "What?" She greeted him, not knowing why he was calling.
"Where y'all punk asses at?" Nino asked, his scrunched up face now showing in the camera.
"Where yo bitch ass at?" Shae chimed in, matching his tone.
"Say bitch one more time, I swear I'll go across yo head. Matter ah' fact, y'all got ten minutes before we come and get y'all, Meech been told yall to be here. What the hell y'all doing?" Nino spoke, and Shae rolled her eyes.
"Y'all! Quit cussing!" Dani called out, getting in the camera. "We're on our way, okay?"
"Yeah." Nino's tone softened, before they heard the FaceTime call end.
"Okay, come on Kenni! Take the picture!" Shae rushed her to go back to the stairs. Kenori stopped in her tracks.
"Shae, he just said we got ten minutes before they make they bum ass way over here. We don't got time for that." Kenori stated trying to get out of taking a picture.
