"I figured it out when Sage called, I got his transactions, his location, all that." Naomi informed the group as she smiled and flopped down on the couch next to Sade who wasn't really caring about the conversation.

"What you come down here for then?" Junebug questioned out of curiosity.

"Now y'all know I came to see my man crush." Naomi responded with a smile, flashing it at Mekhi and he smiled back with a small laugh.

"Yall is too damn grown." Meechie smacked his lips, "Meechie you always been a hater, since we was kids." Nai reminisced making the room laugh, since it was in fact, a fact.

"Nai, his ass still one to this day." Nino interjected and Meech smacked his lips in response, "I know yo' big ass ain't talking." Meech called out, "See." Nino shook his head making Junebug choke on his laugh.

"I want to see the baby." Sade spoke up crossing her legs.

"Ohhh, right!" Nai responded in realization that she hadn't shown any of them her babygirl. She pulled out her phone and went to the photos app. She clicked on a recent picture of her daughter, "Here she go. Her name is Numani, Nani for short." Nai smiled as she showcased the picture of her one and half year old daughter.

"She's so cute, oh my god." Sade smiled at the picture, "I would've never thought you would have had a baby. She is freaking adorable." Sade continued.

"Thank you. She's bad as hell now though." Nai laughed softly as Sade passed her phone back.

"Girl Samir ass worse than any kid on the planet. Supernanny bad ass kids ain't got nothin' on him." Sade shook her head and Nai laughed.

Mekhi drowned out the conversation in his own mind. His mind was still going back to Kenori. Every touch, every semi smile, every laugh, even though there wasn't many, he missed it. He missed the small conversations he didn't mind starting because she was easy to converse with but didn't know how to start a conversation.

He missed the way she would talk shit to Meech and Nino because they were always on her ass just because that's just what they did. He missed the faces she made, the way she looked slightly shocked every time he complimented her, how she was always so persistent in paying him back every time he bought her something, how even though she acted as if she didn't have a care in the world, she would still check up on him. He missed Kenori, no doubt about it—but it was what it was—and it was that Kenori and him were staying away from each other at her wishes.

"Nai, get what you got? We trying to get a move on." Sage spoke up as he came from upstairs snapping Mekhi out of his mind and he sighed deeply.

"You good?" Nino asked Mekhi as he lowly raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I'm straight." Mekhi responded as he cleared his throat. Nino's gaze lingered on him for a moment before nodding at his response and looking back on his phone.

"Let me grab my computer." Naomi raised up from her seat on the couch and jogged off from the living room area.

"This gunsmith, his name Larry Smith, anything for a reasonable price, he'll have yo' ass straight forever, and when I say that, I mean he in business to be yo' gunsmith for yo' whole life. His ass cool and everything." Junebug was informing Meech, Nino, and Mekhi.
