"Don't worry bout why I do what I do, Bitch. Cause' I ain't worried bout you, Bitch. Nah ion wanna be cool, Bitch." Kenori rapped along lowly with Megan as Realer played throughout the house party. She wasn't one for parties, but her best friend Marshala went to every single one of them, and of course dragged Kenori along.
Kenori sat back on the sofa with her legs crossed, nodding her head along to the rest of the song. She didn't drink or smoke, so all she had to do was sit back, look pretty, and enjoy the music.
"Somebody sitting here?" A voice broke her away from her phone, looking up seeing Sade. Sade wasn't a friend but she also wasn't a nobody, she just hung around girls that Kenori didn't like and that rubbed Kenori the wrong way. She grew up with her though, so she tolerated her.
"Yeah." She lied immediately, while tilting her head.
"Oh, Ken. I didn't know that was you." Sade folded her arms and Kenori instantly rolled her eyes. It was kind of darkly lit, with flashing lights all over, so if she didn't know Sade's voice she wouldn't have recognized her either.
"Sadiya, come on!" A voice cut in with a girl grabbing Sade's arm. "Holdon, I'll be there in a minute Nyema." Sade told the girl and the girl hummed before leaving off.
Kenori displayed an unreadable facial expression now as Sade was shifting uncomfortably in front of her.
"Why you always have to be rude, Ken?"
"If that's rude Sadiya, then wait until you see annoyed." Kenori responded and Sade huffed at how nonchalant she was being. "Whatever, Kenori." She shook her head before walking off into the crowd.
"I know that wasn't Sade yellow ass trying to talk to you." Marshala's voice was heard as she sat beside Kenori.
Marshala didn't like Sade at all, anybody who hung around the the Fab 4 of bitches, was also a bitch, at least that's how Marshala went about it. The Fab 4 of Bitches included Nyema, Brooklyn, Takyla, Mariah, and for what they've noticed recently, Sade too.
The main reason Marshala didn't like the girls was because she was into it with Brooklyn, because Brooklyn was speaking on her family's business with pride. When they were supposed to fight, Marshala was jumped by all of the girls.
"Yeah." Kenori nodded, adjusting the sleeves of her hoodie.
"Stupid ass." Marshala spat making Kenori make a yikes expression.
"You want a drink?" Marshala asked as she stood up, pulling down the Jean skirt she had wore accompanied by a white corset top.
"Not really." Kenori responded and Marshala smacked her lips. She pulled Kenori off the sofa anyways and onto her feet. Kenori sighed as she was pulled off through her crowd. She hated being around too many people at once that she didn't know, she didn't like to be touched, talked to, or even acknowledged. Even though she hated to be called Rude, it was how she was programmed to be.
"What you want?" Marshala slowly rolled her hips along to Tapout as it played while she was grabbing two red cups.
"My car keys." Kenori spoke sarcastically and fake smiled making Marshala mug her.
"Kenori Bailey. Stop being stuck the fuck up. You make me look nice."
"I don't see how that's my problem, Shae." Kenori sighed as she leaned on the island. Marshala was now pouring some Hennessy into the red cup and passed it to her friend. Kenori took the cup from her hand.
