I look at her and I nod.
"What happened between you and Xian in the cave?" Yanli asks.
I look down. That's a little deep. I let out a breath. I wasn't sure he'd live after that. He had a high fever. Inside the monster, really did a number on him. He found a sword. He heard screaming and I believe him. The Tortoise of Slaughter is a powerful monster.
"He fought bravely and saved me." I answer.
"He does that from time to time." Yanli says.
I nod.
"He shouldn't have gone." Yanli says.
I nod.
"It was a trap." I say.
"I hope he is okay." Yanli says.
"He's alive that's all that should matter." I say.
"I found something!" Jiang Wangyin yells.
I jump forward over to where he is. Yanli runs to us. He holds up Wei Ying's sword. I take it. I pull on it. The sword is sealed. He must be alive. I look and I see a trail of blood. Bodies were laid and hung like ornaments. Yanli puts her hand on her mouth. Jiang Wangyin grabs her and hugs her.
"We need to keep moving." I say.
