Power fills my veins. Power like fire burns me. I let out a yell. Red veins appear throughout my body. I feel alive. I feel like everything is changing in a good way. I feel my friend getting larger. This power... is fueling me. My skin feels like it's on fire. The volcano has erupted.
"You demon!" Wen Ruohan yells.
He grabs a sword and charges me. Something erupts from under me. My friend has gotten bigger to say the least. The Nightless City palace becomes destroyed. I erupt from it like lava. I finally stand up. At last, I have this power. At last Lotus Pier will fall. Finally, I'll take back my life.

"He's coming and he'll come like a storm." The demon says.
"You're lying." Lady Yu Ziyuan says.
"I don't lie. I see fear from you." The demon says.
"Enough." I say.
"Second Master Lan, you know the only way you'll survive is if you kill him." The Demon says.
I look down. I'm not killing him. He can still be reasoned with.
"Why are you telling us this?" I ask.
"Aren't you on Wei Wuxian's side?" Lady Yu Ziyuan asks.
"I'm not on any side. All I care about is when he completes his goal or dies, I get to eat his soul." The demon smiles.
I hear a rumble and yelling. A guard rushes in.
"A demon's here! He has a giant demonic hand!" The guard yells.
"He's here." The demon says.
