"Will you guys just quit this?" I ask.
"Wei Wuxian!" Lan Zhan yells.
"What?" I ask.
Blood starts dripping from my hand. I look around at the destruction. It's beautiful. So... why am I unsettled. Are Yanli's tears actually getting to me? I grip the sword. What will happen to Yanli and Jiang Cheng when this is all over? I know what'll happen to me.
My life's purpose is... darker than I imagined. I thought I would be happy destroying everything. I thought this was the only way for me. The only outcome. This is the only path I must take. Yet... why am I so unsettled. I look down.
"Please. Please come back to us." Yanli walks forward.
"I... don't have a choice. A deal is a deal." I say.
"Everyone has a choice." Lan Zhan says.
"Who told you that?" I ask.
"You did." He says.
"I...." I start.
I can't even think of what to say. I don't know what to say. Yanli picks up a sword. I look down at her.
"What? What are you doing?" Jiang Cheng says.
She arches the sword to her chest. My eyes widen.
"I don't want to live in a world with you if your evil." She says.
"Yanli!" Jiang Cheng yells.
"Yanli! Don't!" I let go of Lan Zhan's sword.
Then his sword stabs me. Lan Zhan's eyes were wide. I wince.
