"You found him?" Clan Leader Jiang asks.
I nod.
"Second Master Lan, I am grateful you helped." Clan Leader Jiang says.
"But there is more to it." I say.
"What?" Clan Leader Jiang says.
"He blames Lotus Pier for his suffering." I say.
He's turned demonic. He made the deal with a demon. His anger is uncontrolled. I should've looked for him harder. I saw his pain. I saw his scars. He's been hurt so many times. I can't even recognize him.
"My gods." Clan Leader Jiang mutters.
"What's this?" Lady Yu Ziyuan asks.
"We finally found him." Clan Leader Jiang says.
"Clan Leader Jiang, I had hoped you wouldn't find him." Lady Yu Ziyuan hisses.
"Mother-" Jiang Wangyin starts.
"Don't start with me!" Lady Yu Ziyuan yells.
Jiang Wangyin draws back. She looks at me.
"Second Master Lan, can you honestly tell me that looking for him wasn't completely pointless?" She hisses.
"Yes." I say.
Lady Yu Ziyuan glares at me.
"How can you say that?! He's nothing but a troublemaker!" She yells.
He's so much more than that. I grip my sword.
"Lady Yu Ziyuan, pay attention to your words." I say.
Now I understand why Wei Ying wants to kill her. I'm having a hard time keeping my mouth shut.
"Me? Don't you start Second Master Lan." She hisses.
I glare at her. Clan Leader Jiang slams his hand down. I turn to him.
"We have to find him! You watch your mouth!" Clan Leader Jiang shouts.
Lady Yu Ziyuan draws back.
"Oh, you'll find him soon enough." A voice says.
