"Here" he tossed meat to Arcus, "oh you don't have to, i can hunt my own food" "with that aiming skill? Don't joke around". "You're right..." He looked down frowning. "If only I can be more useful".
Yuki got up to Arcus face, "don't degrade yourself too much" "you're right, but still-!" Yuki snatched the bow, "look it's slim and straight, I wouldn't even consider this a bow. Healing magic is also useful, you can basically be immortal if you're skilled enough". He handed it back, "still think you're useles?"
Arcus face was down on a puddle. "I got this" he slapped his cheeks and shooked his head. "That's what I like to see", Yuki helped Arcus stand. "Come on let's go we still have a long way to go".
Leaves falling as they roam the green enviroment. Yuki got close to Arcus, "do you feel something strange?" He looked around, "strange?" "We're not the only people". Yuki and Arcus hid behind a bush, "shh I can sense them", horses hooves is heard through the forest.
"Look" Arcus pointed at three carriages. Yuki squinted, "a royal seal" "what's that?" "A royal seal is owned by the six kingdom, each has a personal symbol to their own self", he took a closer glance. "The 2nd kingdom's crest, she must be heading towards the one with the missing king".
"There's a missing king?" "Well emperor to be more precise, he has been missing for a month straight now". They crouched, "she's close".
Arcus peeked through the bush. A bottle filled with bright green fluid to the brim. Yuki led Arcus out of the forest, "phew that was close" "what is the big deal anyway, we're just commoners", "if it's that easy, everyone they see will be put on interrigation" "they're that serious" "yeah no sh*t, they can't loose a person who has bloods of the two gods" "blood?" "It's called 'crowned elixir', that's what give them the supernatural powers and to distinguish them against powerful clans".
"Ah! This royal and god's blood thing is making me dizzy we should focus on other things" Yuki giggled. "You seem to be more on... The easy go lucky side" Arcus sighed, "being a smartass has more responsibilities, and I don't have time in my hands right now". Yuki faced Arcus, "then what if you had time? Will you be a smartass?" "Maybe, knowledge is pretty useful for many things, but for now i'm just trying to survive in the wild". "Don't worry when we travel more and more you'll definitely learn a lot of things".
"Yuki, you look really scary when you smile" "wait I do?" "Well just in general to be honest". He turned his back to Arcus, "well there's pretty tough stuff I went through in the past, but i'm kinda fine now, since I am not alone anymore".
"Just aim there, anddd, shoot!" Arcus let go of the string and it missed the bird. "Ugh this is our sixth target" "well what do you expect, i'm not that good on ofensive attacks" said by Arcus. Then Yuki shooked his head, he pulled his wrist, "there's another one over there". He adjusted the arm and arrow placement, "just follow me". Both of them aim for a sparrow, "slowly, don't let your prey out of your eyes, and 3...2...1... Go!" They both shot the bird on the head. "YAHOO!" Yuki jumped cheering, "it's just a bird" "atleast we have dinner now" "do you think one sparrow can fill out stomach?" "Ugh you're right, well then let's hunt more!"
The moon is gone and the sky is only filled with star. Arcus looked over to Yuki who is already in deep slumber. He turned his back, "what a long day" he yawned.
"Arcus save me".
His eyes opened, what was that he heard?
"Save me".
A voice was calling out from the woods. "Who's there?" "Help me-". The echoing dissapeared. It sounded desperate but also nonchalant. Was it a cry for help?
