Mercury handed him a piece of paper and stated, "Arcus, we've decided to test your abilities". "Hm, what is this?" inquired Arcus. "It's a bountiful," he said. He unfolded the folded paper carefully.
"The Niela Yeti?" "A yeti we've been hunting, the yeti is terrorizing people in the city of Niela." Arcus furrowed his eyebrows, "hold on if you can't hunt this, then what made you think- I CAN!?" "I can hunt that beast it's just not my priority" .
This man, he thought to himself. "What if I die?" "We casted a teleportation skill in you, once your in a near death experience you'll be teleported to us" Mercury said.
Standing, Arcus said, "I'll take this bounty."
Arcus got ready for the chase. blue gloves, a white robe, and a flowy white blouse. He picked out a new bow & arrow. After tying his laces, he left the palace."Phhhw" and gave him a light peck on the cheek. He exclaimed, "I can do this!"
Strolling throughout the kingdom, heading for a specific location indicated by Mercury's guidance.
The atmosphere altered as soon as he arrived in the city. The noise and laughing lessen.
He muttered beneath his breath, "Is it me?" Arcus strolled into a restaurant, ordered takeout, and consumed it while exploring the city.
Arcus felt an arm. "Leaving me alone?" Yuki exclaimed, laughing. "Yuki- you scared me!" Yuki asked, "Well? Do you want me to help you?" Arcus shook his head. "No i'll try to be independent and this is a training for my own experience" he stood his ground". "Can't force you".
The two bided their time till dusk. "Are you afraid?" Arcus said. "A little bit." "Don't worry you'll live" "I feel like that jinxed me" .
Now that night has fallen. Yuki saw that Arcus' breath was frigid and threw him another robe. As he fades into thin air, Yuki said, "Take it so you won't be cold."
Arcus turned to face the dim forest, sighing.
"I'm prepared," he said.
He strolled through the chilly forest with confidence. Wolves roaring at the moon, he tucked his hair behind his crimson ear.
After Mercury told Arcus to "follow the footstep... just follow the yeti's footstep," Arcus went over what Mercury had said.
His boots scuffed against the lawn.
He complained, "Where is this yeti at?"
He yelled, "I can't find them," and produced a miraculous compass. "This will help me" .
He headed south, following the direction indicated by the compass. "It's approaching," he remarked as the compass began to move quickly. He advanced slowly, his confidence gradually giving way to a hint of apprehension.
The compass came to a standstill. Looking around, he said, "It's near." He called forth his bow and crept behind a bush. In order to attract the beast, he set a lure. He waited silently.
There it is, the yeti materialized as Arcus held his bow's cord.
3...2...1... "Go!" Arcus surged forward and hit the yeti's eyes with the bow. He shot the yeti's body with an arrow, but it did not damage it.
"Why did I think that would work?" he asked, firing another arrow. The yeti gave Arcus a growl while wiping his eyes.
He said, "Oh-no," terrified of the beast. Then he threw the entire bow and set of arrows in a final lunge. The yeti shot him a cold stare. "RUN!" he exclaimed, and he began to leave.
He ran and screamed for more. Arcus avoided the beast's fling of an entire tree, but not before sustaining injuries. He located a big tree to hide behind and surrounded by stone.
With the last of the yeti breath still in the air, he pleaded, "Please don't look here-please don't look here!"
When it finally faded gone, he worriedly asked, "What am I going to do now?"
A voice from behind Arcus called out, "Flowers". However, it didn't sound like Yuki or Risi. "Huh?" he asked incredulous. "The flowers," the speaker repeated, "flowers? What flowers?" "A patch of flowers, go there." "I believe this to be my final hope," he declared. He glanced around the opening in the rocks. "Flowers-flowers, huh-huh there!" he said, pointing to the dubious-looking area of grass.
He moved to another bush and said, "But this is going to blow my cover, uh doesn't matter, i'm going in." When—*breath, breath*—he was sufficiently close.
"Oh SHOOT!" Arcus turned around, realizing that the yeti was following him once more. He threw himself onto the flowerbed. He questioned the speaker, "Now what?"
"Hold it" . Arcus clutched the flower as instructed by the voice. He cried out as the yeti got closer, "Please please work-whatever that i'm waiting for please work!"
It began to shine with a greenish brilliance. It closed Arcus's open wound and kept the yeti at a distance.
One big flower in the flowerbed began to grow, taller than the rest. Arcus obeyed the speaker's command to "take it" at one point.
He put his hand on the nightshade flower's stalk. It ceased to develop, and Arcus grabbed it. The construction began to take on the shape of a bow.
After it completed its metamorphosis, he raised the bow to his hand and aimed it at the yeti.
"However, I'm lacking arrows," he asked the voice.
"Hold it, I promise," the speaker answered. Arcus maintained a straight aim while clearing his throat.
An energy is beginning to develop as he aims the bow. "An arrow...?" he asked, staring at the light beam that had transformed into a supernatural arrow.
He shot the arrow in a fit of desperation, and it transformed into chains, trapping the beast and preventing it from moving. With a quick step, he approached the tree and took another aim at the yeti. His next shot disintegrated the yeti's arm. "That's all?" he disappointedly inquired. He heard someone else say, "Don't be so full of yourself dumb ass". "Hi!" he said, "Yuki sent me to spy on you for the time being, now go defeat that monster". "Yes ma'am!"
He shot one more arrow, then another. "My last one, fire!" until then.
When he released the string, the magical arrow entered the beast and caused it to explode.
It reduced the yeti to ashes. He exclaimed, running to Risi, "Did I do it? Wait, did I just do that!?" "It's official—I beat the monster!" he exclaimed. "Yeah yeah if it was Yuki that yeti would've been oblivirated in a second" , "you can never let me enjoy the moment aren't you?"
Grinning broadly, he returned to the palace and handed Mercury the bounty report.
Mercury sneered, "I guess you're useful after all." "The queen have ordered you to become a night, she said it will help you, well are you in?"
"Of course I am" he said confidently. "What do I need to do to become one?" "Well you've already defeated a b+ monster and that's pretty impressive for a rookie, other than that, hmm, oh your name" Mercury stated.
"Huh name?" "Yes a title for people to call you". "Is that necessary?" "No but religously yes it is" Mercury commented.
"Well then my title is going to be; "The Florist Soldier!"
