What is it that the queen wants with me? Arcus thought to himself.
The words "We're here" were spoken by Mercury and Arcus as they approached a door decorated with historical symbols and gold pavers.
Arcus becomes blinded by the sunshine bouncing off the throne as Mercury carefully opens the enormous door. When his eyes finally focused, the queen's presence met him.
"Greeting Arcus Levangelit, I'm the ruler of this kingdom, and I'm refered as 'Queen Louriss' but you can call me Louriss" .
It's the same girl they saw in the forest.
Arcus trembled, "Uh, greetings Queen Louriss, nice to meet you."
"No formalities needed," Louriss remarked, raising an eyebrow with Mercury's eyes. He mentally stated that no one had ever received the queen's consent before.
As the queen rose to her throne, Arcus nervously laughed, "So Que-I mean Louriss, what do you need from me?"
The queen answered, "I just need you to answer a few questions." She moved ahead of him and cast her eyes downward.
She threw a doll in his direction. In a quiet voice, she said, "Arcus, please touch the doll and tell me what will happen".
"Oh, I see," he replied, reaching out to grasp the doll.
"I don't feel anythi-" . Arcus suddenly had a headache. His eyesight darkened, and he began to see strange recollections.
He's screaming in agony and he's seeing a figure with black gloves and a sword. Different timelines began to emerge in other visions. Demise. Murder. The memories is coming back.
His eyesight returned to normal. He awoke to find himself lying on the ground with tears streaming down his face. Shaking, the queen is restraining the doll once more.
Shaking, he asked, "What h-happened?" "We're sorry, but we needed to test something," the queen stated to Arcus. "Don't worry, we already have what we need, but we will still have questions for you to answer."
"Mercury lead him to the diner, his energy must be drained" she said. "Yes, your highness," said Mercury as he led Arcus out of the room and into the dining area, where the girl brought him food and the knight departed.
Shaking and terrified, he replied quitely, "What the hell happened?"
He closed his eyes praying. "Yuki..."
