Feng Xin had truly believed that once they got married, it would immediately mean instant bliss and happiness and harmony. Because they loved each other so much. Right?
Ah, but it turned out that marriage doesn't work this way. And their marriage was mostly bickering and biting.
Mu Qing moved to his place in full, long before their wedding. He had to endure that move, and also – their mothers' months-long preparations for that same wedding.
In two words: it was hell.
One could only imagine an Alpha and an Omega, planning something, anything!!! together. And when one added a hyper-sensitive Mu Qing to the mix, still not used to regulating his mood swings during pre-heat and heat, and if one added Feng Xin's Omega father, who, it turned out, was the most level-headed of them all, to that mixed bag of hyperactive, over-enthusiastic idiots – it really left the poor Alpha with no choice: he just chose to ran away from it all (before he killed someone!!!), giving excuses with his job of all things!
Mu Qing was pouting, and Hua Cheng was amazed (and quite amused!) that the sulky bouncer would spend more time in the bar, with him (well... technically speaking!) than at home with his brand new wife.
But it only made sense. It made sense to him at least.

He was sipping on his glass of whiskey, watching the Alpha glance nervously at his phone for messages, and take a generous gulp off his own pint of beer.- So, when's the wedding, asshole? – the Beta smirked.
- In June. – Feng Xin answered automatically, distracted, not even bothering to return the insult. After all, it had been years. – And I'll be dead sweating like a pig, hughh...
- Sorry. – Hua Cheng looked at him with something close to sympathy. – I am so lucky that GeGe only wanted a very small wedding. You know...
The smirk could be tasted and felt in the air they shared.
But he now saw his chance to pour some salt in the wound – the temptation was far too great!!!
- You know that whatever the Alpha wants – the Alpha gets! – Hua Cheng smirked smugly. – At least my Alpha does! – he murmured proudly. – We are so so happy together!
- San Lang! Plaaaaay niceeeee! – Xie Lian's sing-a-song voice echoed from the small cellar from the back of the bar.
Feng Xin never failed to glare at him with pure hatred.
He was far too aware that in his own case, he had been chased away from his own home by fucking women.
- One of these days, I'm gonna take care of you, stinky Beta. Once and for all. Like, a final destination. One last dance. I am so gonna---
- A-Xiiiiin, I heard thaaaaaat!!! - Xie Lian hollered from the back, currently in the middle of searching for a misplaced crate of 1928 bourbon that he just could not find. – Ah! Here! Well!
Hua Cheng's face expressed only joy and the so-typical smitten fascination when his Alpha came back to the counter, all covered in cob-webs and all flushed, and a little dizzy and confused. But it didn't matter. What mattered was his scent.
- A-Xin! Please, can you call your husband? I spend too long, searching for that one pack! Should be at least two! Have we run out? Or maybe he tucked it some place else? – he chirped now, puffing and removing webs from his sleeves and hair.
- Here, Alpha! – Hua Cheng immediately joined him in that, searching for all and any excuses to be touching him again.
- Stop calling me "A-Xin"! I am married now! – the bouncer growled, but grabbed his phone to obey.
- Ehhh... - Xie Lian giggled now. – Force of habit, sweetie!
This, in turn, caused Hua Cheng to lean over and start kissing the smiling lips, and Feng Xin gagged to see it again.
- I'm honestly gonna be sick...

So, nothing much had changed, except now both pairs were happily married. It didn't affect their love, and it didn't change their relationships. Only now poor Feng Xin had more occasions to be mad, as both his mom, and his wife's mom were super interested in their life together, and also – in their heat/rut cycles.
Everybody was waiting for that baby.
