Digging the grave for your mother and the original [Name] had taken more time than you thought, and after you were done, Akaza carried you back to your room on his back before leaving.
Compared to the beginning of the night, the Upper Rank demon seemed much less annoyed by your presence. But it was only one night. You knew that trying to befriend Akaza would take a lot more than just one interaction.
Currently, the sun had just risen, bidding good morning the world with its bright smile. The birds chirped back in greeting, and all of the animals and people sleeping awoke from their slumber to begin the day.
You had expended a lot of energy the day before trying to crawl across your room, and staying up pretty much all night while also using even more energy to set up the grave left you beyond exhausted. And as much as you wanted to continue working your way up to being able to walk, you knew you needed to rest. After all, your body could only take so much, and its limits were much lower than a normal person's. If you continued to push yourself, it would only end up stunting your progress and setting you back.
But... you were left with another problem now...

"I'm so hungryyyyy...." You cried, clutching your stomach and rolling around on your futon. You hadn't eaten since [Mother Name]'s death, which was... "Holy shit, it's been two days?!" With your weak constitution, it was a miracle you were still even functioning!! And that wasn't even including the lack of water... "I think I'm gonna die... This is it, I 'm a goner...
